Title: Which frame sliders??? Post by: saboulet on October 19, 2009, 06:17:40 PM I have a 02' Ducati Monster 750 Sie and I'm looking to get frame sliders.
I can't decide between these two. They're both on ebay, and only one dollar apart, so opinions? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DUCATI-MONSTER-620-695-750-800-900-NoCut-FRAME-SLIDERS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem19b72ce6d5QQitemZ110447355605QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DUCATI-MONSTER-620-695-750-800-900-NoCut-FRAME-SLIDERS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem19b72ce6d5QQitemZ110447355605QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories) OR http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/01-08-Ducati-Monster-695-750-800-900-1000-Frame-Sliders_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem20ad9afaa9QQitemZ140351568553QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/01-08-Ducati-Monster-695-750-800-900-1000-Frame-Sliders_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem20ad9afaa9QQitemZ140351568553QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories) Title: Re: Which frame sliders??? Post by: orangelion03 on October 19, 2009, 07:38:33 PM I bought the T-Rex ones, along with their front and rear axle sliders. Bike hasnt fallen apart yet.
I was stopped at a gas station in Ojai, when an Aprilia rider joked that it must be a stunt bike. Ass. Title: Re: Which frame sliders??? Post by: Mojo S2R on October 19, 2009, 07:48:21 PM I also have the T-Rex and am happy with them. Never seen the No Limit Moto ones before.
Title: Re: Which frame sliders??? Post by: Setsukosan on October 20, 2009, 11:47:58 AM Ive heard good things from both. However when it comes to inexpensive insurance on your bike I would go with SpeedyMoto's. My friends bike wasn't totaled because of them. Good stuff.

Title: Re: Which frame sliders??? Post by: saboulet on October 21, 2009, 05:29:57 AM Does it matter that the T-Rex sliders don't have replacement pucks on the end? B/c with the other ones you have the replacement puck on the end, that way if you go down, all you have to replace is the puck instead of the entire frame slider on that side.

IIRC, the T-Rex are so inexpensive, you could get a second brand new set and still not have paid as much for both as you would have for the first set of the competition's sliders. Have they made swingarm and fork sliders for the S2R1K yet? Title: Re: Which frame sliders??? Have they made swingarm and fork sliders for the S2R1K yet? On Ebay, the T-Rex sliders are $55 including shipping, while the other sliders that have the pucks are $54 including shipping. That's only $1 difference. So if I were to buy more pucks, they would be less expensive than replacing a new T-Rex slider altogether. I was just wondering if anyone has had the pucks before and how they hold up. Title: Re: Which frame sliders??? Post by: Raux on October 21, 2009, 01:07:10 PM err i guess i'm gonna get these too. once i rebuild i'm gonna be scared of the tip over factor more.
honestly though the accident.. not a single area protected by the sliders got damage. the lower fork, the swingarm, the side of the frame, the engine... not a single scratch... I was comparing the T-rex prices to other name-brand set-ups that I have seen. Sorry for yapping before actually paying attention... Title: Re: Which frame sliders???
