Should be the same engine as the S2R 1000 I believe. The 1000DS. Title: Re: is the 2006 Ducato 1000 cc engine closed loop? Post by: lwszabo on October 22, 2009, 04:56:57 PM 99% sure it is. I was thinking in 06 it was open loop...maybe I was wrong. I guess it dont matter much, if I get one I will get the Termi kit anyway. I just love the Zard look Should be the same engine as the S2R 1000 I believe. The 1000DS. Title: Re: is the 2006 Ducato 1000 cc engine closed loop? I was thinking open loop for some reason. mitt Title: Re: is the 2006 Ducato 1000 cc engine closed loop? Post by: Buckethead on October 22, 2009, 06:30:42 PM 2006 Sport 1000 has an O2 sensor. On the stock exhaust, it's tucked back in the crossover pipe, just before they come under the swingarm.
Yes, you still get the "lurch" if you try to hold it at 4000 rpm. With the stock ECU, keeping your chain tension within specs helps this immensely. As does taking your bike to ducvet. He's, well, magic. If you go the Zard route, you'll still have to do something about the O2 sensor. Just letting it dangle makes it run even hotter. I dont think it looks as good as the Zard, but it sounds better (IMO) and is almost 1/2 price.Yes, you still get the "lurch" if you try to hold it at 4000 rpm.
