just had laser eye surgery friday. anyone that is considering it, f'ing do it!!! i went from a -5.50 prescription to seeing 20/15. cheers to Dr. Larson at vermont eye laser, not only for fixing my eyes but for having a really cool last name like me. [thumbsup]
You have NO idea how bad I want to do this but I can't. My corneas messed up and the doctor won't do it. [bang]
Congrats though, seeing well without glasses would be awesome.
Glad to hear it went well. [thumbsup]
I went from -7.5 with bad astigmatism to 20/15 in both eyes, 2.5 years ago. Still seeing 20/15 at my last checkup a week ago. 8)
thanks! yeah, i was seeing 20/15 right after the surgery, i couldnt believe it. went for my first ride since the correction today!
I have the money allocated in my Healthcare spending account for next year.
Questions:
What type of "technology" did you use?
What did you pay?
i went for the newest type, intralase, or iLasik. it cost me about 3200 with pre and post operation checkups. totally worth it though

thanks that seems like the ballpark I have been hearing while shopping around for doctors I feel comfortable with.
Paging Dr. Swampduc.
I had Lasik with wavefront, cost me about $4000 for both eyes together. It would have been about $1000 less without the wavefront.
I had Lasik done in 2002 (time for a touch up) and it was $1500. Very great choice, life is so much easier.

Mine too. ;D
I am about a month in. Not overjoyed at this point, but it is supposed to get better. I was +3.5, which from what I am told is alittle more difficult to correct. I will always need readers, but that's not a problem.
