Title: 696 and 1100 Stock Mirrors and Difference in 696 model Post by: rmcobb on October 25, 2009, 02:56:11 PM OK, I'm confused a bit.
I'm looking for some 696 mirrors to replace one that broke. I put them on my wifes 620, which was a great improvement over the old micky mouse style. Back when I originally bought them off a guy here on the forum, I don't remember there being 2 different part numbers for the 696 mirrors, but now there is. If you look in the parts fiche, they list 2 different part numbers, one up to engine number 002497, and then another for all bikes after that engine number. Can any one tell me what they changed. What is different between the 2? The mirror they list for the early 696 is the same as the one they list for the 1100. The 1100 still uses the same one. The strange thing is that the screw they indicate for the 696 and 1100 is different. Anyway, does anyone know what they changed? Thanks Randy Title: Re: 696 and 1100 Stock Mirrors and Difference in 696 model Post by: Raux on October 25, 2009, 03:35:24 PM early 696 had issues with mirror bases cracking and breaking off

Gave me a good reason to get some Rizoma Naked Prototypes. Which one are you looking to replace? The original left one is still good.

Slim, The left one is the one I need, but I just bought another set. Thanks anyway. I'll let you know if for some odd reason the ones I purchased don't work for me. I was kind of in a hurry and purchased the first available thing presented. |
