Title: Yet another Craiglist gem
Post by: Goat_Herder on October 25, 2009, 09:54:01 PM
This was found in Seattle Craiglist, not from some third world country.  I am so confused...

Why I hate eBay... set the starting price at $1 and set a reserve price well above that... then tell people where the reserve is.  Why not just set the starting price at the reserve price or near enough to it that you hit reserve and be done with it.

Plus this is totally stolen.  Track down key from previous owner is code for find the dude who had his bike stolen and get beat up for having it in your possession.

I remember someone in the Phoenix area had a 749 Dark stolen awhile back.

BTW..Goat, what was the original CL ad for?

What confuses me is that he says it has a clear title.

Maybe it does and he just doesn't possess it??

ETA:  It'd be interesting if the buyer showed up to pick it up with a local cop to run the VIN before he handed over the money for it.

I knew they would take the ad off so I took a screenshot of it.  Here it is:

I've seen the same ad posted on another forum previously. Funny hoax.
