Title: Re: Subaru motorcycle Post by: m1moto on October 27, 2009, 06:45:09 AM I saw it on The Kneeslider and it I think it's sweet. Let's hope he can take it from a CAD file to the real deal

[laugh] Title: Re: Subaru motorcycle Post by: junior varsity on October 27, 2009, 07:04:55 AM I think its kinda cool, just like the tesi.
Title: Re: Subaru motorcycle Post by: teddy037.2 on October 27, 2009, 07:07:25 AM O
M G !!!!!!! :o ;D isn't it a bit odd to put the turbo under the seat, though? Title: Re: Subaru motorcycle Post by: Monster Dave on October 27, 2009, 07:09:44 AM ...would look so much more badass with a radial engine...
IMO Title: Re: Subaru motorcycle Post by: KnightofNi on October 27, 2009, 07:11:46 AM i like teh idea. that's also in part because i like the WRX.
now if only he had used the sti engine. that thing needs more seat and rear end. there has to be something to keep your ass from sliding off the back end. lol Title: Re: Subaru motorcycle Post by: redxblack on October 27, 2009, 07:34:37 AM I do like the Subaru boxer engines, but the aesthetic of this bike is a bit too "futuristic" for me. Parts of it are really neat though. I got excited by the thread title thinking Fuji heavy industries were moving into moto production.

Title: Re: Subaru motorcycle Post by: EvilSteve on October 27, 2009, 08:02:50 AM Wide much?
I think it's cool though. Also a bit: (http://botropolis.com/wp-content/uploads/terminator-bike.jpg) Title: Re: Subaru motorcycle Post by: mitt on October 27, 2009, 08:18:19 AM pretty neat for a study!
mitt Title: Re: Subaru motorcycle Post by: sroberts152 on October 27, 2009, 08:29:54 AM Yeah, but is it AWD?
Title: Re: Subaru motorcycle Post by: il d00d on October 27, 2009, 08:42:44 AM This is like a Japanese Tomahawk (http://www.allpar.com/cars/concepts/tomahawk.html) - It is an interesting concept, but in this iteration, the space between the primary drive and the foot peg would be a problem. Unless you wanted your left boot slowly sanded off.
And, it is ridiculously overpowered. If the engine was actually closer to the width of the frame, I would like this bike more. I ain't mad at a turbo twin.. Title: Re: Subaru motorcycle Post by: pennyrobber on October 27, 2009, 08:47:38 AM I think it looks great, real or not. Nice mix of future think and industrialness.
Title: Re: Subaru motorcycle Post by: Autostrada Pilot on October 27, 2009, 09:28:12 AM Holy huge front sprocket, batman!
Although with the size of the engine, I'm sure it'll be fine. Title: Re: Subaru motorcycle Post by: Mad Mal on October 27, 2009, 08:13:48 PM How about a real Subaru Quad bike http://www.gizmag.com/pictures/lrg_img//4177_18060594858.jpg (http://www.gizmag.com/pictures/lrg_img//4177_18060594858.jpg)
Title: Re: Subaru motorcycle Post by: He Man on October 27, 2009, 08:17:16 PM Wide much? I think it's cool though. Also a bit: (http://botropolis.com/wp-content/uploads/terminator-bike.jpg) all that technology and the shit still has 3 spoke rims. Title: Re: Subaru motorcycle Post by: Speedbag on October 28, 2009, 02:39:57 AM I think it looks great, real or not. Nice mix of future think and industrialness. +1 Title: Re: Subaru motorcycle Post by: KnightofNi on October 28, 2009, 04:58:54 AM How about a real Subaru Quad bike http://www.gizmag.com/pictures/lrg_img//4177_18060594858.jpg (http://www.gizmag.com/pictures/lrg_img//4177_18060594858.jpg) nah, it's too wide and stable. it's not dangerous enough, lol. |
