Left the house in a downpour that would drown a frog. Waited
in traffic for 20mins stopped while everyone rubbernecked
the wreck in the opposite lane.
Made it here (atl), got checked in, and decided to grab a beverage.
Should be at IAH by 5
Good luck, take pictures, and take it easy on your new scooter!
If you ride through Birmingham, send me a message!! [thumbsup]

Good luck, man. Looks like you've got nice weather tonight and tomorrow [thumbsup]
Caught mysefl trying to drift off to sleep
so I called it a night at Beaumont. I've worked 16 hours in the last
24 and had about 3 hours sleep...
I can't get mobile photobucket to work, so
the ics will have to wait until I get back.
Get some good rest, it'll make tomorrow a lot more fun, and safer to boot. [thumbsup]
Glad to hear the trips going well.
Get some rest.
Don't worry about picts till you get home. [thumbsup] [moto]

Thanks guys/ gals!
Stopped in Baton Rouge at Herbert cycles for a break
Bike has been flawless.... Up ultil I notoced the right side mirror was hanging by a thread.
Thought it would make it here ...... Fell off 4 miles before I got here. Traffic was too bad
to attempt a retrieve, so I'll need to source a new/ used one ( right side if anyone knows where one might be).
Anyway, quick lunch and I'll be back on the road.
Averaging 85 mph bike is getting 43 mpg
Passing mobile Al.
I'm going to stop in Ft Walton beach tonight.
No rain so far, just a 5 min drizzle. The stock seat .......SUCKS!
Even with a pair of cycling shorts on, I'm having to stand up every 15 miles or so cause my ass goes numb.
Going to order a seat in the Am
Congrats on the new ride! There's actually a good discussion going on the ST owners listserve about aftermarket seats -- it's a good group of riders, with lots of ST2/3/4 specific experience.
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/st2_owners/messages (http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/st2_owners/messages)
Admittedly, the discussion so far on seats has found that some like stock, some Sargent (I like mine, but it came on the bike) and others fit Corbin best. Fortunately, there's some good info there on the respective shapes of the aftermarket vs. stock saddles.
Bike didn't want to start this am, but finally fired up. After it warmed up all was fine. Later I stalled it cause I wasn't in first. Damn thing didn't want to start up at all. After letting it cool off a few mins fired right back up and I was off
I'm about on the Al/ Ga border now, I should be home in 2 hours tops. Then some pics tonight
Glad to hear you're almost there. [thumbsup]

Sounds like it has oil that is too thick for cold starts, and it may need some larger gauge wires for the starter (I upgraded mine with Powerlet cables a few years ago).
Made it home by 6:30 EST.
Logged just over 1K in the miles, bike is sitting at 65xx. Time to tear it apart for the service lol! [laugh]

Congrats on the new bike! Now where the hell are our pictures??
;D
Glad you made it home, I decided to ship mine that was 1000 miles from home. The starting issue when hot may be the bike needing a tune-up/valve adjustment. Mine runs like a different machine after service. Also did you notice any heating issues? Mine was getting very warm at lights until it was tuned-up.
Glad you made it home in one piece Pal. Been holding my breath for a couple days now. [thumbsup]

Observant people will notice the missing right side mirror, which departed the bike only moments away from Herbert cycles in Baton rouge.
Even more observant people will notice the beer glass becomes a bit more full after the salad but before the steak.
Forgive the mediocre pics....all I had with me was my phone.
Looks like a most excellent adventure!!!

Looks like you've got some room to raise the rear ride height a bit -- I thought the handling on my ST2 was pretty good until I raised the rear which REALLY made front end come alive.
Give it a try & see what you think -- it's free & easy enough to go back if you don't like it.
