Title: Ducati themed wedding cake.
Post by: mdriver on October 28, 2009, 10:42:33 AM
Bob Parsons, CEO of GoDaddy.com got married. An avid motorcyclist, he had a cake of his favorite bike made.

Parsons gave him a real Ducati as a thank-you.

Check out the other pics too. He made a helmet cake to go with it. Supposedly the cake had an ignition key start, horns, lights and more. I want to see this being made!

I'd love a cake from charm city, until I found out the minimum price is a grand. With that said, I wouldn't be suprised if the cake cost as much as the bike.

How funny would that be to get a cake made of a Monster and the first thing you do is take a knife and lop off the beertray.

clearly I need to work on mr. Parsons sponsoring the DMF.

and  for the Duff fans...since we live nearby we approached them about custom cake stuff.  the shop was incredibly unfriendly.   We've had their cakes at two different friends' weddings since then.  tasted horrible (looked cool).   Plenty of different places who will do amazing creative custom stuff  for less than half the cost and maybe a tenth of the attitude. I now kind of think of them as the OCC of cakes.
