This can't be right, right?! A 2009 848, only 938 miles, under warranty, being sold by a dealership, for only $8600, and per the post nothing was wrong with it.
Am I reading this right?! Isn't that a ridiculously low price?

Probably repo'd so they just wanted to get their money back.
Not too low if the seller didn't put a reserve on it.... market dictates the price.
8600 is a steal though...
Seller could have also been using another party/id to run up the bid.
I'm still in tears about this one if it's legit.
I thought about making a bid for kicks, around 9K, but figured no way and didn't look back, but later stumbled upon the link in my cache, only to gasp in horror at the winning bid.
Best part...my better half said "wow, you totally should have bid on that."
She rocks, and I'm a dufus [bang] wonder who the lucky bastid was that got it.
I would have bid on that! I would then have to sell it to pay for my divorce, but I would have definitely bid.
Contact the dealer and get in line as a second option. [thumbsup]

Reason divorces are expensive: Women.
Look at womens clothes, less fabric more expensive...
Perfumes, smaller the bottle, the more expensive...
700sqft apt not enough, needs larger...
Women, can't live with them, can't live without them...
There're exceptions...

Hey there,
I've seen deals like this before!! I think its crazy myself some people are having fire sales. They fall behind in bills and than here comes the fire sale. I've seen dealer ships have blow out prices on the 1098 bikes too... Very Scary...
Modena
What was the winning bid? I can't find the link to look it up.
I heard a new 1098S went for something like 16.5 OTD at a nearby dealership
Maybe Randal bought the 848.
i almost got a 08 848 with only 1200 miles on it and like 14months left on the factory warrenty, the guy was asking 9k for it and was throwing in complete leathers and 2 arai helmets but the gf insisted that i get the brand new 09 one with the extended warranty and all the other protection plans instead.
That's ghey

Yes, that was the winning bid as far as I know. The URL now redirects to a bidding closed page, but if you let the page load, then click the refresh button and quickly hit the stop button in your browser, you can still see the final page before the redirect, showing the final winning bid.
