My former Rugby team did that to rookies... So I had it done to me, I knew I was getting set up, so I decided to make my setter-up pay. The people 'playing' got metal spoons. I hit my opponent so hard over the course of the game I bent the handle of my spoon (about 1/16" x 3/8" wide), minor chipped a tooth, and knocked him out of his chair. !4 years on I still have my spoon, with bend and teeth marks in the steel.

Mercifully the third guy behind me just had a wooden kitchen spoon - stung, but not that bad.
