Title: Another nice 696 exhaust Post by: MOUSEMAN on November 04, 2009, 01:38:09 PM Had an old oval Termi, and thought I make good use of it. What do you think?

Title: Re: Another nice 696 exhaust Post by: DucinKtown on November 04, 2009, 02:06:59 PM Nice, but what are your thoughts for the LP and signals, and the Brake light?
Hows it sound? Thanks R Title: Re: Another nice 696 exhaust Post by: MOUSEMAN on November 04, 2009, 04:02:56 PM It sounds awesome. I have since finished the under seat panel and incorporated an LED light strip that has runnin/brake and turn signals. the plate is now mounted off the back of the can, it may not stay there, i don't know yet. Dyno performance looks as good as the termis I took off.

Title: Re: Another nice 696 exhaust Post by: WetDuc on November 05, 2009, 03:07:03 AM Looks slick, but where does the license plate mount up?
Title: Re: Another nice 696 exhaust Post by: Celli on November 05, 2009, 04:16:04 AM Awesome!
Title: Re: Another nice 696 exhaust Post by: Binary on November 05, 2009, 08:26:30 AM Excellent job. I've been waiting for a true under seat setup. Keep the pictures coming. Interested to see the final results. BTW, did you craft the tubing for the exhaust? Wonder how dual under seat exhaust would look similar to the 1098.
Title: Re: Another nice 696 exhaust Post by: Raux on November 05, 2009, 08:42:53 AM nice .. now where is that tank skin ;)

I agree, excellent job [thumbsup]Title: Re: Another nice 696 exhaust Post by: Justo on November 06, 2009, 12:54:53 AM Not sure on this. Looks funny but I can't pick what. Does it make your ass any hotter ( no not in a sexual way ) :o
Title: Re: Another nice 696 exhaust Post by: Scissors on November 06, 2009, 03:01:43 AM I never have liked single, centered exhausts. The remind me of buttholes.
Sorry. Title: Re: Another nice 696 exhaust Post by: fasterblkduc on November 06, 2009, 06:09:43 AM Very nice. This is the best looking one so far. [thumbsup]
Title: Re: Another nice 696 exhaust Post by: Betty on November 06, 2009, 11:16:41 AM Any suspension travel / clearance issues?
Title: Re: Another nice 696 exhaust Post by: MOUSEMAN on November 06, 2009, 04:09:39 PM Thanks for all the feedback. Scissors talk to Justo. I ran this setup at a track day and there is no clearance issues at all. And Raux, the molds are gathering dust in my garage. the first prototypes looked great but I am now looking for a new composite partner...... Anyone notice the rearsets!!

[bow_down] [bow_down] [bow_down] [bow_down] damn, if you're going to production on that exhaust I may just have to jump on an 1100. Title: Re: Another nice 696 exhaust Post by: MOUSEMAN on November 06, 2009, 04:40:21 PM The guy who made it for me said he'd be happy to make more. We cut the stock 2 into 1 into 2 pipe to make this fit so you should consider this if you really want one. Also, I have the DP ECU form the Termi kit installed as well. I haven't yet tried to run this with a stock ECU. Unfortunately the Power Commander V is not out yet for this bike.

Title: Re: Another nice 696 exhaust Post by: Raux on November 07, 2009, 12:01:58 AM those rearsets are the CarrMoto ones right?
Title: Re: Another nice 696 exhaust Post by: MOUSEMAN on November 07, 2009, 05:11:53 PM Yes on the CarrMoto rearsets, they rock! I had one of the bigger guys at the shop jump on the bike, no clearance issues. Rizoma bars on it now, can't figure out why it took me so long to do that! Definitely an improvement. As far as the air filter, I have the DP one in right now.
