I present for your amusement a set of Jugs and Cylinders for a "1999 M900" - with only 60mi on them! These cylinders and pistons come from the ultra-rare water cooled 1999 Monster 900 which would in no way resemble a regular 1999 Monster 900.
[laugh] [laugh] [bang]
"Believed to fit all year 91-98 900SS CR and SP plus Monster 900. "
Wonder what else they believe....
That must have been a rough 60 miles!
Put these on your M620, go 140mph. Score chicks at Wal*Mart.
This I just what I have been looking for! I have been thinking of doing a water cooled conversion on my M900 this winter. [thumbsup]
Did the user name change? I saw the seller is "ducatierv".
I thought about replying to his auction just to see if he realized there was a mix up, but then thought it might just be a scam.
watercooled jugs, 2 valve pistons ??
Actually I've met this dude, I sold him my stock forks. No idea what's up with his ad but he def. knew his stuff, he had his own warehouse full of some of the nicest Ducati hardware I've seen.
Wasn't the ST2 a water cooled 900 motor? ???

like this? I thought they were all still finned though.
^^ Radical Ducati builds some bad ass bikes. [evil]
4-valver jugs, 2-valve pistons. :P

sign me up
The seller messaged me (I thought I'd be nice and let him know that those were not 900 jugs) and the response was :
Thanks for the catch, they are 748 jugs with only 200 miles. ???

Uhhhh, those are still 2 valve pistons, no?
Pretty sure the Radical pictured above is using a ST based motor (2 or 3). Don't know why you'ld use a water cooled 2V ? Do build built 900 motors run hot on the track?
Ducati ERV is a good dude, and has some sick sick stuff (MV Ago and others)

I thought so, but gave up on this. Methinks its just some lackey throwin' up the eBay ads, whether or not the actual seller knows their stuff or not.
Scanning through a few more of his ads, I see the S4R motor I sold him. Actually he bought the entire bike, broken frame, and all....for less than he wants for the motor.
I suppose that might be why he's got a MV Ago LOL....
edit...just got an email from him. He was in a rush taking pics and it should be cleared up soon. Has a set of jugs/piston from a 900 and from a 748. He buys cheap and sells high, but if you can afford to hang onto the inventory until someone buys it, more power to ya!
