PhilB and his '93 M900 are in the December issue of Motorcyclist magazine.
I did a search, so if this is a Derby, too bad. ;D
Congrats, PhilB! Is it over 200k yet?
166,000.
Nice [thumbsup]
I just got the magazine in the mail yesterday. I was about to ask if it was anyone on the board [moto]
PhilB was a regular on TOB
Last week I rode with him and it was on the cusp of 170,000. [thumbsup]
He's still a regular just moreso on the local board.

I was wondering the exact same thing. Congrats if you are and read this!
pick up a copy and check it out. [thumbsup]
Is it the November issue or the December issue - not sure what's out now...
Krolik mentioned it the other day, but congrats again, Philb. [thumbsup] Must be all those miles to and from New Hampshire. ;D
It was in Motorcyclist, Dec '09. Page 32.

If they only knew..... [roll]
Just read the article. Phil looks like a real motorcyclist to me - specially with 170,000 in 16 years. That's about what I put on mine per year.
I hold out little hope of even living 16 more years, much less my motorcycle making it though.
Good on ya Phil. [thumbsup]
LA
Just picked it up, what a great mag. Think I'll get a subscription. To Phil, another 160k+ [thumbsup] I wonder if this is a record, anyone know of any higher miles on a duc?
Phil, thank you for humbling my proud BMW-riding friends!
Is the old Ducati reputation for difficulty of maintenance officially dead? I think so.

I almost derby'd. No philb comments? He was one of my favorites from TOB.
I heard a rumor that Phil was in a hit and run accident. Phil is ok but I don't think the bike made it.
Does anyone know Phil?
Again, rumor, I hope it's not so.

Confirmed. Phil is mainly unhurt, but "Patina" did not make it. At last count he had ~265k miles on her when a minivan took her out. It was a hit-and-run but the driver was eventually arrested. Phil did suffer some bumps and bruises, but was release from the hospital that same day.
RIP Patina. :'(
Glad Philb is ok.

Thanks. That's exactly what I heard. I'm glad he's ok.
Poor Patina, :(
Wonder what's next?

For years he has been debating

Now, if I were Ducati, I would invite him to a local dealership and give him a deal. Talk about rewarding loyalty!

Ha! Good luck with that!
265,000!!!
My God that's some riding.
[bow_down]
He road it cross country I believe on multiple occasions. It was also his daily commuter. Those miles add up across 23 years.
Over 420,000 kilometres. Would've hit half a mil if it wasn't for that van.. >:(
Once again, glad Phil is ok. A dealer should buy the wreck and restore it enough for display purposes.
i thought i had a lot of miles with 93k
I've just ticked over 60,000 kilometers!
My baby is just run in!
37k miles on the '15. Hoping for many, many more...

I have several choices on my short list for my next bike, to replace my beloved Monster. About half of my leading choices are Ducatis. One of the strongest possibilities is a 939SS, which I have testridden, and came away from impressed. Whichever bike I pick, it will be with the intent of seeing it with over 250K miles by somewhere around the year 2040.
