I'll have to scan some pics of mine. I had a 1986 K75c. I notice you parked yours on the center stand like all K bike owners so you don't have that embarrassing 60 seconds of blue smoke pouring out of the tail pipe the next time you start it. Hard to believe the Germans would build a bike with the cylinder head on the same side as the kick stand and the oil sump on the opposite side. But it did have that awesome self retracting side stand that popped up when you pulled in the clutch. Pretty cool even though you never got to use the side stand.
03 620ie Dark - 1 year and three months ... Sausage Creature ate it...
06 S2R1K - 1 year and three months ... Sold
07 S4Rs - So far about 9 months and lovin' it.

My old '01 M900 Cromo. Sweet bike. Would have been nice to keep it, but...
My first bike was a 2004 GS500F.
1st [laugh] Long gone. '86 Honda Elite 80
(http://www.jacksscootershop.com/images/Honda_80/Elite_red.jpg)
2nd. '99 M900
(http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd235/ScottyDucati12/2008_05260023.jpg)
3rd. '69 Ducati 350 WC
(http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd235/ScottyDucati12/2008_05260015.jpg)
My track bike 2004 R1 .

My Bella.
Previous bikes include:
Yamaha RZ 350 YPVS
Suzuki RGV 250 VJ 22
Suzuki TL 1000 S
Ducati 748
Only ones I have pictures of... (never used to upload them and my hard drive got surged)
2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 900
(http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u11/optiato/Kawasaki/IMGP2420.jpg)
And the 2007 Monster 695
(http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u11/optiato/210310011653.jpg)
sadly i don't have any photo's of the old bikes, but these are pretty close... except for the RD, mine was spray-painted light grey by the previous owner.
but here we go...
'74 Yamaha RD350... mine had these crazy clip-ons... still couldn't keep the front wheel down! the right baffle kept blowing out of the end of the pipe as well... i used to unplug the sparkplug in the driveway and reconnect it a few blocks away, got a nice shock each time!
then after the RD's motor developed a nice piston-slap because someone forgot it had synthetic oil in... [roll] i got myself a 75 CB550 Supersport!! the swingarm bushings weren't installed correctly so the swingarm had a nasty habit of sliding back and forth when you changed direction...
this bike i rode into the back of a car (long story, road work un-marked, at night, class-action lawsuit etc etc) and totalled it. i must have a picture of that somewhere... but then my roomate sold me this....
an 81 Suzuki GS1100E. what a monster, it was a week before i could give it full-stick. I think i did 140mph on this bike. ONCE. Sold it when i left vancouver. what a drag. it was a beaut.
unbelievably, a coup[le years later my fiance got tired of hearing me complain about not having a bike so she said 'just go and buy one already!'
so i did. this 86 Nighthawk 750S (in canada we got a 750, in the US it was only 700 for some reason.)
and now of course i have Gloria.
I am happy i made a progression from crap to gold in my biking career... it was a character builder... but i think my GF will get a monster for her second bike... thinking a CB125 for her first once she finishes with her vespa.
whatever, two wheels good!!!
1980 Suzuki TS 125 Enduro. Got my motorcycle license when I was 16 and drove it to school, as well as everywhere else I could.
1989 Kawasaki EX500. Bought it used in '90, kept it until 2003. Went through 4 kids, two houses, and two marriages.
2003 Ducati SS800. Fully faired Red beauty; ergos did not agree with me. While I was test riding the S4r a guy came in and bought it.
2004 Ducati S4r Monster. Bought new as a left over in 2005. I saw the blue'white in '04 and loved it. Finally, the next year I got it. Still have it.
2008 Ducati 1098s. Black/Red. I always wanted a SBK, got an cash windfall and ordered this color combination as the black is beautiful.
2008 KTM 200 xcw. Rediscovered the joy of dirt riding. A friend borrowed it and it collided with my brother. Long story short, brother has brain damage, his ATV wrecked, and my bike is in two pieces. Rediscovered reason to never let another person drive anything I own. [bang]
awesome thread. i started one of these on the ADV forum called "your bike history from the past to the present" and it's amazing to see the multitude of motorcycles and people's personalities...
here's my first. never took a picture of it but this is a pic i found on the net: '76 350 special
(http://homepage.mac.com/dragonmix/.Pictures/yamaha350.jpg)
my 2nd bike- '80 KZ 1000 Mk ll (still have her but she's been sitting for a few years. i might have to get rid of her soon :(
(http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads11/KZ1000+21187827382.jpg)
3rd- '73 harley stroker- S&S stroker kit from 1000cc to 1200cc. 12:1 pistons, port/polish, thunder header pipes, barnett racing clutch components, all new ignition, etc, etc. still not complete.
here's an old shot in it's early stages with straight pipes... i pulled up to a light one day and noticed a whif of smoke coming from below. the bob tank i had on it developed a small leak and was dripping (very slowly) onto the heads . so that's a tank i threw on temporarily so i can still ride it. fixed the tank and developed another leak!
my 4th: '94 BMW R1100GS. bought her with cash and my first new vehicle i ever bought. sold her last year...

my 6th: '04 BMW Rockster (R1150R) BMW's decent attempt at the naked bike niche. a full 100lbs heavier than my Foggy but still a blast in the canyons and a great touring bike. sadly i crashed her about 4 months ago... :'(
ins co salvaged her and i picked up my 1st ducati with the money ;D the duc would be lucky #7

Love the cafe CB's. I plan on having one.
I really miss that bike.. it was hit by a 17 yo girl parking a bug ol 70's surburban
My very first moto was a 1989 FZR 600. I bought it used in 93 for $1200, ex race bike and it was a total POS.
I sold it in 95 and took a long break from riding due to being broke and in college. Ramen was my priority at that time ;D
Fast forward to 2006, I bought my very first duc monster.
2005 620 Dark sold it for..

I don't have pics of all of them, not digital anyway... but here's a general rundown.
Bike 1 - 1991 907ie bought it new in '91, still own it.
Bike 2a,b,c - 197? Yamaha R5/RD. Actually a conglomeration of three different bikes. Built it in the "dining room" of my apartment. Got my WERA provisional novice license on it, then sold it. No idea why. Never even got any good pictures of it!
Bike 3 - an '88(?) Honda Hawk I must have pics of somewhere. Fun bike! Sold it anyway...
Bike 4 - the reason I sold bike 3. Never rode the Hawk after I bought this. Loved the bike. Sold it anyway. D'oh!
Bike 5 - 250 KDX. LOADS of fun! had to sell it after I got laid off.
Bike 6 - Honda 500 Ascot. Was going to be a track toy. Things happen, sold it before I built anything out of it. No pics. Imagine a ratty Ascot.
Bike 7 - 2000 996 I sold the 900ss to buy this. Not sure that was a great idea... though I still own this one. It's the bike that made me realize I'm not worthy (of modern superbikes)
Bike 8a - 1974 750GT The bike that rekindled my interest in motorcycles. Obviously a project...
Bike 8b - same as above but 3+ years and a dollar or three later.
Bike 9 - A project 1966 160 Monza Jr The Before, mock up, and during pics (but I'm using a valanced rear fender now)
(http://www.teamyikes.com/Resources/Sport160Start.JPG) (http://www.teamyikes.com/Resources/Mockup_2516.JPG) (http://www.teamyikes.com/Resources/Mockup_3152.JPG)
Bike 10 - 1966 250 Monza project bike I picked up at the same time as the 160. It's going to be 350 Bitsa at some point, I'm pretty much just collecting parts for it now.
Bike 11 - Yet another project bike. I had a bunch of spare parts. A buddy had a bent Monza Jr frame. What can I say?
Yeah, I realize there are no monsters in the mix. I've ridden a bunch if that counts? No? I've rented a couple and really WANT one, does THAT count? No?
Tough crowd...
Can't wait to see that 160 Monza jr. when it's finished, be sure to post pics.
First bike was a 1985 BMW K100RS. My dad bought it from me and recently sold it after riding it for about 5 years. Heavy pig of a thing, I was never fond of it, I got it because I thought it was the coolest thing on wheels at the time. After discovering it was a top heavy cow the magic faded very quickly. I'm 5'7" and 130lbs, the worst person to ride a 600 lb 80s K-bike.
My second bike was a 1987 Honda VFR400R NC24, which you can see above on a trip to the Cabot Trail with my dad. A lot like a 400cc version of the RC30 engine, v4 with gear driven cams and 16 valves, 6 speeds and a top speed around 120 mph. Fun bike, got me into sports machines. Was a PITA because no one knew how to fix a Japanese import (if they agreed to touch it in the first place). This pic was taken when I was 18, shows you how physically small the bike is.
I traded that in on a 2004 Suzuki SV650, which was written off by a former friend of mine after I had owned it for about a year. I rebuilt it with a full GSXR front end, rear shock, powdercoated wheels, full Hindle exhaust system, some moderate engine work, lots of other stuff. Fun project but after all it was still an SV, albeit a twitchy widowmaker SOB that nearly killed me on one memorable occasion.
I traded that in on my 916 a little less than 2 years ago. Haven't looked back since. I plan on keeping the 916 for as long as I can, it's the perfect bike for my riding style and my tastes, and nothing else tugs the heart strings quite so well. Except an MV F4, but those can't be imported into Canada.
This is the bike I sold to buy my Monster, a Triumph Speed Four. Great bike, but the I-4 just wasn't doing it for me. It felt like it needed to be going all out, all the time. The Monster is much more relaxed and generally more fun for riding around town.

I always find these threads very interesting [thumbsup]
First bike, '78 Yami YZ80 (not mine pictured, but looked just like it)
First street bike and was my only transportation for a summer after car got stolen, '86 Honda XL600R (again not mine pictured)

The first bike I had was some really old Honda 100cc bike that my father bought from a neighbor for me to mess around with when I was 12 or 13. When I was 22 I bought a 78 Suzuki GS750 from my buddy's brother that he fixed up. I rode that a bit around then finally got my license 5 years later and got my Monster.
