Title: Non-Duc problem
Post by: LowThudd on November 09, 2009, 03:42:04 PM
86 Yamaha Radian. It was running along fine, then after some nice speed runs over a series of speed bumps(a dozen or so) it is now idling really high. Also bogs abit with throttle. It appears that I have some fine cracks on the intake boots that weren't there before. I am assuming that is the problem. Sound correct?

If by intake boots you mean the rubber manifolds downstream of the carbs, then yes. That would be a vacuum leak.

If by boots you mean from the airbox to the carbs then no.

Yep, rubber between the carbs and engine. Well, that'll be fun to fix. First lesson on my first bike. Thanks.
