Mmm Arc goodness.... that's a rare 1 of kind there
I've seen that thing in person.
The license plate pretty much says it all.
SICKDUC
Egads thats sweet, but I'd be surprised if it hit half the BIN price.
I talked to Doug a few years back about building me a frame for a racebike. He went out of business before I could work with him. He does some amazing work. From what I've heard, his bikes handle like a dream.
This seller won't get his asking price for this one, but it is way cool.
If only there was some way to convert km to miles.

There is, it's called math. ;)

And if that is too intimidating for some, you can also google for various unit conversion widgets on the web. ;)
I love it. It is the ultimate street/track bike.
I can't stand those headlights though. I'd have to put the fairing on or a big round Monster headlight.

+1. I'd like to see a nice Kaenma style small supersport fairing and headlight (or no headlight for track duty)
I wish he'd get back in business. There is lots of cool stuff I'd get off of him, etc. His work looked fantastic. I used archive.org to go back in time and get the pics off his website to oogle at.
It used to look alot better. [evil]

Come back Doug.
We miss you.

Y'know, we talk about not being able to have a great American Sportbike, but we've got the ingredients to make a great American "Bimota" right here.
ArcFab + Alex Ortner + The guys on this board that do custom work (Mark, Norm, Stew, et al)
Doug's Rat bikes, and alex's 908ssp/996gpdue/1036cs --> Kind of like looking at the Radical Ducati bikes, or better yet the NCR high-dollar bikes and the Pierobon frames/bikes.
Kind of disappointing that getting everybody under one roof with enough capital to get it going is far more difficult than it would seem.
Just you wait and see what I'm piecing together (slowly) to take my best shot at a low low 300lbs motorscooter [thumbsup]

Except Im shooting for under 300 when I do it 8)
My original goal was under 300 lbs and 100 hp. It's proven to be very expensive getting there. I'm at 306 lbs right now, but I've got plans that will get me to my original goal and hopefully under 290. I'm looking for an 1100 motor with the new lighter castings. I'm going to change the exhaust soon, as the muffler alone weighs 8.8 lbs.
It seems like people are split on the looks, but I converted it to a streetfighter because I was tired of the riding postion (I'm 53 years old). The headlight mounting was done as a temporary fix, I'm looking to clean that up a bit.
I'll probably be at this thing forever.

Pictures are the currency around here my friend.

The pictures on this thread are my bike. Mike
That picture is old. I've changed alot of things on it. Can any of you tell me how to post pics on this forum? Mike
How to post pictures: http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=109.0 (http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=109.0)
I was wondering if you were the owner the way the first post read.
For the record it's not a great American bike. It's a Ducati

Haven't you heard? We started outsourcing a while ago.
If it was finished in America, it's a great American bike in my book.
i was thinking of a Bimota style bike. Sure the engine is outsourced, but is that what makes it American or Italian? Or is it the frame/chassis? Could it be the suspension? I'd hate to own a swedish bike, people would talk.
Why not? The Fischer is claimed to be an American sportbike........with a Hyosung motor.
