i was going to go last year, but didn't make it. has anyone gone to he show, and is it worth the time?
here's a link to this years show.

We will be there with a couple of bikes in the Cycle World and Leo Vince Booths.. Swing by and say hi!
Its a pretty cool event, one day is all you really need tho
Will
It's always worth a walk around. I spend maybe 2-3 hours and see everything.
i love checking out all the different bikes, especially some of the retro bikes they have...
although i miss the Monster Challenge...
I missed the show last year, but I've been the past four years. Really fun times... and the people-watching is almost as good as the bike-sitting!
I'm going Sunday, I believe.
I've gone the past few years. It's worthwhile for anyone who rides.
But I'm also adding a bit of comparison to other cities of the show ... San Fran's show is not so great in comparison to Long Beach because of the convention site; Long Beach's is simply a better site and feels like a bigger show for example.
I'll be there in full effect! First time for me.
R.
thanks everyone... and now i will be there too
Any group rides up?

+ the 405 [puke]
I'm taking my wagon because I dont want to shlep my gear around all day, and I dont have room on the bike for all the bling I'll be bringing back with me.
Though not this time, I have taken the Metro from NoHo station to LB several times...it takes a while and you have to make one change, but there is no parking hassle (cheaper than a parking spot too).
If anyone is interested, I'm happy to pick people on the way down from Castaic...just not sure which day I might be going yet.
Moto parking is free. I also rarely buy anything at the shows as it's overpriced.

overpriced.
it's an excellent place to buy discounted packs of track days from several of the track day orgs

That's cool. I hadn't noticed that. All the helmets and gear that I would buy is overpriced. They have some stuff on sale but it's usually not very desirable (hence the sale). I do buy earplugs there. Expensive but the custom ones are the best.
motorcycling is too unreliable, imho, to ever buy things in advance other than basic gear. a lot of my friends buy the discount track packs but many end up having to sell off a few days for whatever reason... i dunno. unless i had 2 bikes i don't think it'd be practical for me.

how do you mean?
I usually drive up from San Diego, but this year i am going to look into taking the train.
FYI to others, at previous shows there is a free "gear check" area, like a coat & hat check at a resturaunt, so you dont have to carry your gear around while at the show.

Turns out you can't get there from here. Train from SD to LA then bus from LA to LB, total trip time 4hours 10 minutes. Back to the cage

You can take the "subway" to Long Beach from the downtown train station with one transfer, but your trip time sounds about right.
I'll be there with the fam'. Thx for that discount code!
