Title: MIVV Low mount exhausts Post by: ollie on November 16, 2009, 02:23:30 AM When I bought my 620 it had Remus high mount carbon pipes on it. The sound is great, but I've always thought that low mounts are much better suited to bikes with a DSS.
I have always liked the classic look of reverse megaphones and reckon that if done well they can really look pretty schmick so have been looking round for a nice set, but whilst looking I came across the MIVV X-cone low mounts. Now, these pipes look pretty nice, classicly influenced with bit of a modern edge. Has anyone tried a set of these - How do they sound? - is the Fueling alright, is it a just a case of bolt on and forget? - They do look a tad smaller than normal, but I could only find 1 pic of a 620 with them on so the pic could have just been from a weird angle Any other thoughts? Title: Re: MIVV Low mount exhausts Post by: goldFiSh on November 16, 2009, 02:43:38 AM I've heard the GP carbon mivvs on mattyvas' old 620 and on my M800.
On a word they sound awesome - a real deep bass note with throaty goodness. They sound different on different bikes - definitely very low prnounced bass on the 620, with the bass and the throat on the 800. Oh, and they are very loud - again, more so on the 800. I had Ti hi mount arrows on my M800 and swapped for the mivvs and have not looked back - I too think that the DSS needs low mounts. Fuelling wise, you should be OK, but if you have an open airbox and a k&n filter, then you'll need a power commander. it does pop on decel, but that also sounds awesome! they are shorter than other pipes, which is why they are loud, but hey, they sound awesome. I'll guess that you'd be very happy with them. Has anyone got any pics of the low mount Xcones on their monster Title: Re: MIVV Low mount exhausts Post by: OT on November 18, 2009, 03:25:21 PM Try the "Search" feature in the upper right-hand part of the board....there are several MIVV threads.

You can even order different sized DB killers to fine tune the noise. I think they sound great. VERY well made; I was surprised by the thickness of the metal.
