Hea anyone experienced milky oil, when riding on cool mornings? I arrived at work today and look at the 05 S2R sitting on the sidestand. I took a glance at the sight glass and noticed it had this milky residue on it. I equate that to moisture in the crankcase. Since this is an air cooled engine, am I just not riding this enough, to burn off the moisture? I have a 10 mile commute, most of that is freeway driving.
Totally normal. Just need to ride it more, heating the oil hot enough to burn off the moisture.
go for a good ride getting the engine nice and hot(operating temp)...you deserve it!
then when you get home or stop some where, take the cap off from the oil fill for about a half hour or so, this should let the hot moisture escape easier. Just make sure you replace it before moisture can find its way back in....before the engine is cooled down.
This is normal as stated, just ride her more she needs it.
