What time do you expect to be back from SRC?
I've never been, so not sure of time-frame.

That's a long ride to do with an expectation to go to a bike show afterwards. I think one or the other is more reasonable so that you can enjoy one or the other and don't feel rushed.

Well, compared to our Sedona trip, this trip will be a lot shorter. Not to mention we won't be stopping as much (cough-tirechange). Ah hem. 

Now, the Bike Show you posted about will be a small show. I mean, Victory BMW isn't exactly a large place with a spacious parking lot. And it's on your way home.

So, if you did want to go to both, just turn south on Country Club on your way back. You'll have plenty of time to do both, IMO.

I don't know how much experience you have with riding Salt River Canyon or the Winkleman loop but you are looking at 6 or so hours just riding. Then add gas stops and food, and you are looking at an all day affair. I hope you guys are leaving early.

Ya, but even if we left at 7:00am, were gone for 8 hours, there would still be 2 hours left to enjoy the Classic Bike Show.

Michael, I can tell you from experience that after a long ride like that that once we'd get back to town the last thing we wanted to do was make any more stops - our soreness from "monster butt" is enough to make us just want to get home; not to stifle your enthusiasm at all.  [thumbsup]

Michael has got the ride clocked at 278 miles.  That's not a long ride.  It's less than 3 tanks of gas.  Just need to work the time back from when you want to get to the show.  [thumbsup]

Dawn is young and spry, I'm sure she'll be able to do both.

Besides, we're just talking about her going to the Classic Bike Show on the way home, not adding this to the group route. My sore butt will break off to go home long before that.

You and your lady need to come hang with the hommies. We all miss you and gossip about you when you're not there.  ;)

It's been a few years since I'd classify myself as "young and spry"
Now It's more like: "getting older and creaky"

...yeah I know we've been MIA now for a while but this weekend is the big event that we've been training for - El Tour de Tucson. After the holiday comes and goes, I'm sure that we'll be rejoining the ranks again!
