What, no gas-charged forks? No ceramic rotors? ;D Seriously, neat project. I'll keep an eye on this one.

Wow, I'm glad this project is posted on the 'net, because that's the closest I'll ever come to parts like that.
BTW, definitely needs a Ti spring on the shock.
I saw a frame like that for sale on ebay - $11,000 for a titanium frame - yikes

Here I am drooling over these pics when I recognize a logo. This is being built up by my local shop ! Only about 2 miles from my house. Hmmm... now how to talk my way into the shop for a 1st hand look?
Great pics Anthony. You've really been getting them noticed since you started working w/ them.

Come by and check it out anytime [thumbsup] Ask anyone and they'll be happy to show it to you!
Anthony, feel free to keep us in the loop here too...you know, in your free time. (I just read the .ms thread)
that bike looks fabulous.
Okay, a few more images... Some new calipers that might please those of you who though the HP calipers weren't good enough (though I think the HP calipers are incredible). These have titanium pistons though!

HO. LEEE. SHHHH!!!!!T
Awesome !!!!!!!!!
Truly incredible. [thumbsup]
I've looked through this thread and the one on Ducati.MS and could not find any info on the exhaust. Did I just miss it?
Well, it obviously Ti. And the weld quality on the spring mounting points is more than a little nice. [thumbsup]
This project is insanely beautiful and it hurts me to know that motogreatness of this nature will never rest beneath my loins...
...so it gives me great pleasure to see the same cheap-o plastic oil filler cap and oil sensor "chimney" that are on my busted-ass Craiglist rescue Monster firmly lodged in the magnesium right-side case in this photo.
In that respect, the Ti beauty and I are equals. Equals, I say! Bwaa-haa-haa-haa!
///haters gotta hate. Whut?

I'm thinking (hoping!) that they would at least polish up that OP sender where it can be polished.

The bike is not done yet... we have an NCR billet Oil filler plug though as far as I know the oil sensor is staying the same. There are still a ton of things to change; several items already on the bike will be swapped out.
As some of you may have noticed we upgraded from the nickel HP calipers to the SBK calipers with titanium pistons. Forks are going to be upgraded to a set of FG forks as soon as they arrive, slipper is probably getting switched out, etc...
And yes, the exhaust is motocorse.
Video of the bike running for the first time.
1098R Super Build is Alive! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifAhdukYaBo#normal)
clackity clackity clackity clackity
won't that big hose off the back slow it down on the track? [cheeky]
and is that a big heavy battery on the side instead of a speedcell? ;D
(damn that thing is looking good....off to buy totto ticket)
Thanks, Anthony...keep the updates coming. Love it!
Wow that looks fantastic!
Great photos as well, wonder what camera that is...
We'll definitely be adding a speedcell... still lots of work to do, just had to grab a test battery to fire it up!

It's a cannon xti. Video was done on my iPhone though [thumbsup]
i realize this has a lot of bling and such and made of lighter materials, and it looks very good and the craftsmanship shows through so that is good.
but my question is what is the end point?
how much lighter are you predicting this bike to be than stock after doing all this? are you dropping say 20-30% of the wet weight fo the bike?
also what is the prediction of the increase in power from the engine, etc?
i'd like to hear the prediction of what the improvements will be before they actually weigh the thing and put it on a dyno to see who comes closest.
The end point is to simply build a bike that the customer likes... [thumbsup]
We've never built a 1098R to this level so we don't know what the outcome will be with regards to weight loss and power increase. We'll know before long though.

+1 wow :o
ok my prediction is 35 lbs lighter with all the mods, and the dyno at the wheel is going to put out 5% more than stock 1098r.
Stylistically I really like it, especially the swingarm and the copper nuts. $$$$$$
gadzooks.

Ill bump it to 50lbs :)
In the true price is right style of shafting your competitors,
51lbs
;D
52
>:(
haha! gotchoo!
[laugh]
59 lbs less and 10% power.
who's keeping track of the pool?
I will. closest to the amount reduced w/out going over. [cheeky]
exactly we are going with the price is right format with the weight loss lbs and also the dyno % improvment over a stock 1098r.
this is going to be cool to hear wihat the real numbers are when all is said and done.
