Title: I know many people on this board are critical of this mod but.........
Post by: Six95 on November 24, 2009, 12:48:40 AM
But I think it look Pretty Beast with two backsing good.

I decided to get a new chain since I was changing my front sprog to 14T. The chain was quite an easy thing to replace. I originally had painted the master link red with high temp red engine paint which I cured in the lab oven at work, but when it came time to press it on, it got really scratched to buggery. So I just ended up removing the paint. I'll most likely brush on some paint down the track. It would be interesting to see how long the red stays on the plates.

I salivate everytime I go to think about cleaning it.

OH NO, I can see an oily grease film on my swingarm. Time to clean again!!!!!

That looks bright. [thumbsup]

You will be cleaning grease of it for weeks those new chains are smothered in it.

Are you coming on the sunday ride to test the new gearing?

Nice one 6, though I'm keen to hear what's its like to keep clean.

If the rims, swingarm, hugger etc were all red red as well, then I'd go

That looks pretty neat.
You'll be cleaning gunk off it for a little while.
Touches of colour are always nice.

Looks alright Six ... suits your colour scheme.

But I reckon that master link wil drive you insane ... if it isn't red.

Phuc!

Finally got out today for the first time to try out the new 14t and chain. Had the wife on the back too.

Same ol' comments on the 14t, nothing new but  :o . I'm glad I did it after 2 years. It has made me really appreciate the small mod.

Like how everyone said about the chain however - I got to the pie shop and the whole side of my bike was spattered with white grease. My clean bike was ..........  :-[

It's clean again now though.........  :)

Defiantly a disaster when you little precious gets dirty on you out on the road :'(
It's just not good to let others see her in that way. :-[
You can do as i and carry a small personal size WD40 you know the ones, and some cleaning cloth, and sneak of into the bush and give her a good seeing to.  :-* :-* [thumbsup]
