I need to update my G4 PowerBook to OSX Tiger but don't want to spend a bundle for an already obsolete OS.
Basically I'm rebuilding my recording studio a little at a time and all of the control surfaces nowadays require at least Tiger to function (and specifically the surface I am planning on). The Mac itself is still an awesome computer and I'd rather spend money on mods for the bike or other studio items than the $80-150 everyone wants for a burned copy of an OS, or $1k+ on a new Mac.
I'm coming from 10.3.9 on a 15" Aluminum Powerbook with a 1.0 Ghz processor.
If anyone can assist I would be grateful. [thumbsup]
I've got a copy of Tiger and leopard I think, but I'm not so sure how to get it to you. I can't believe people want so much money for a 5 year old OS.
Um, not really a guru question. Your need to update your OS... I might suggest you ask around CL or something similar to see if someone's gone to Leopard or beyond and has a Tiger CD they would be willing to trade for a 6'er.
i can hook you up with a friend who works with macs software and hardware. Ill text you his number just let him know were friends, he can get you hooked up with what you need.

I know, just wanted to make them feel special... :-*
I've been all over CL and Fleabay and everyone who has it wants mucho dinero because Apple doesn't support it anymore, so they're hard to find. Think I'm hooked up though, thanks to HeMan. [thumbsup]
