I realize it has been a long while since I have posted here. In fact, so long, that the changes at the DML have taken effect, the last time i was there they were rumors on the horizon.....and so i found you all here!
That said, i don't know whom of you all are still around, or who may have crossed and/or shared paths as mine, but i needed to get this out.
My rottie was diagnosed with cancer last week.
it was pretty far along, and there were no realistic treatment options that could give him a life worth living. I said my final goodbyes on Wednesday.
I know i made the right choice, as he is not hurting anymore, but i am in agony, and i miss him more than these words can reproduce.
Yesterday would have been his 8th birthday, for what its worth.
Here's to you, big boy...I love you, Ben...
holy crap *rubs eyes*
it can't be...
welcome back! [thumbsup]
sorry to hear about your doggie. :(
Welcome back!!
RIP doggie. :(
poor puppy :'(
Thanks for the welcome, Bro -
and yes, it can be! I'm back with you all!
I know he's better off now, it just hurts to no end....

artist of what? threadjacking and bullshitting? :)
you'll get past it, it'll just be blowtastic for a while.
and remember, we're here for you.
we'll poke fun of you and make you wonder why you spend time talking to people on the internets.
awesome. wouldn't have it any other way.
Good to have you guys back...

Sorry to hear the news. Glad you made it over to this board.
I'd like to point out that your thread on the other board still have no replies. That's sad as well that they can't give a member support in a time like this.
hey homes! thanks for the message, man.
real sorry about your pup :(
Glad you found us again! So sorry about your pooch. I remember how hard it was for me when we made the choice to put down the family dog when I was 16. When my beloved Jack ran away and was gone for 5 months last year, at about month 4, I gave up all hope, but never really grieved for him. It turned out I was right! We have him back, he's doing well, and I'm still amazed. I have no idea what I'm going to do when it is time to let go of him. He is about to celebrate his 8th birthday and isn't getting any younger.

then i searched and found you all - not to be disappointed by your usual hospitality and sense of community!
Its good to be home...

RIP, Puppy. :'(
Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend
It is always a tough decision, but knowing its inevitable helps I guess.
We had to make this decision last October with out greyhound.
He also was a great dog and friend. Hope you work thru it ok and welcome back
RIP Pup :'(
You made the right choice, keeping him around would have been selfish.
Good to see you amde it around these parts [thumbsup]
Welcome, aliveguy. It is hard loosing a pet, they do become family members.
Sorry to hear the news. :(
Aww man. I was excited to see you'd made it over here when you PM'd me. Since they wiped out peoples profiles and were censoring links here, I wasn't sure how to get in touch.
Now my excitement is mixed with some sadness for you. It's always tough to loose a buddy, they become such a part of your life. it was tough, but you did the right thing.
Glad to see you found your way over here...really sorry to hear about Ben.
I can tell you that you will never stop missing him, but at some point you will be able to laugh at memories without crying at the same time.
RIP Ben

Bye-bye Rottie...... I love them they look big and bad but are always so sweet. Big ol' lugs... :'(
Sorry to hear about your canine buddy. The time is near for my big feller, he's creeping towards 16years and acting real funny these days.
I remember when I was a kid, i was with my best friend when the vet came by and put down his sick, aging dog. That was a pretty sad moment for us both, and I thought about how it would be when my dog's time came. (he was barely 2 years old at the time)
When the time comes to say goodbye, I guess all we can do is find comfort in the fact that they lived full and happy lives! They sleep whenever they want, free room and board, no work!
^16 yrs! What breed and got any pics of the pup?

Pics are on the other comp but you can wiki... Its a Jindo(a breed from some island off the coast of Korea).
I've also got a daschund whos turning 17 this year. I guess feeding dogs human food is good for them after all!
Big time condolences on your buddy pooch. He's in a better place: tennis balls and rawhide chews everywhere; a cat in every tree to bark at.
And, welcome home to the true forum.

Thanks! very loyal dogs, but they require a lot of discipline early on... something a lot of people fail to deliver and they end up being uncontrollable.
/end threadjack :P
welcome back dude!
sorry about the rott. my first rottie died of bone cancer about 7 years ago (at age 7) :-\
Welcome back! [thumbsup] And very sorry to hear about your pup, they really are part of the family. :'(
