What a damn shame.
RIP :'(
Saw that, damn shame indeed.
I was looking forward to his take on the new study.
Didn't know you, Harry, but [beer].
We should all not only wish that he RIP, but also share a hearty thanks.
Thanks, Harry. [moto]

Indeed,
Thanks Harry for all that you did you keep me from hurting myself and helping others keep from hurting me.
RIP
All of us riders owe him a debt of gratitude. May he rest in peace and his family receive solace from knowing how much he contributed to the safety of others.
Not the same Hurt, but...
"If his head hurts, why don't you drive?!"
"No, no, no. It's Hertz, You Drive!"
As much as some people may criticize the SNELL rating, it at least encouraged thinking.
Thanks Harry, RIP.
I was not aware that he was a life long motorcyclist. I remember when his Hurt Report first came out back in 76 or so. Always thought the name apropos.
He rode "a garage full of things: Hondas, Triumphs, Nortons, dirt bikes, street bikes -- all kinds of stuff," his son said,
Cool. [thumbsup]

Thanks for all ya did for us, Harry [thumbsup]
RIP Harry and thank you for all that you did! [beer]
May you Rest In Peace, thank you for all your hard work and amazing dedication. You have saved innumerable numbers of lives all around the world and laid the groundwork for modern motorcycle safety studies.
[clap]
Never really believed Harry Hurt was his actual name, thought it was a clever moniker.
Yeah, he was a professor at USC.... and not only did he ride but he insisted that practically all his staff rode as well. What a great man...AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer Harry Hurt (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdE-MnFod_E&feature=player_embedded#normal)
He brought science to MC safety so that we need not rely on myth and folklore. Yet there is still much myth and folklore around like, "helmets cause neck injuries." Thank you Dr. Hurt. You will not be forgotten.
