Title: Zero Gravity ST screen
Post by: orangelion03 on December 02, 2009, 11:32:53 AM
Any riders out there using the Zero Gravity ST windscreen?

http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/23-708/Windscreens/23-708.html (http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/23-708/Windscreens/23-708.html)

Looking for a little extra protection but concerned about potential buffeting.

Thanks!

No problem if you fit poorducrider fairing stays you'll be ok  [thumbsup]

I ran one for about a year without any type of braces and the flapping wasn't that bad.  The poorducrider's will definately help.  The screen did a good job of getting the wind up off your chest.

I sent poorducrider a message asking for cost and availability, but I already sketched up some braces and could fab them myself.

psycledelic:  any problems with helmet buffeting?

I have one, and yes there is some buffeting, but I find it's not too bad and I like the extra protection.  If I am going fast enough that it is an issue (which fairly fast and not that often), I just tuck down underneath the buffeting.

Better, but far from perfect protection - it's still a pretty naked bike. My experience was that it's much more stable than the stock fairing even without the PoorDucRiders. With them on, it's rock steady. MonsterParts have those too.
Tucked in, the fairing allows the top speed to increase by ~10 mph - still no buffeting to my 3XL Schuberth.

There was some buffeting, but nothing worth complaining about (IMO).  I liked it better then the stock screen height.
