Title: Is the bike clean enough, pt2 the much awaited the follow up.
Post by: FIFO on December 05, 2009, 11:47:26 PM
On the previous post is my bike clean enough.
It was noted that the rear header pipe was rusty [roll]

Plus other comments i could not work out ;D

So it was decided to remove the exhaust system.
and head of to Bunnings and buy a Josco buffing kit for an electric drill $39.
Works a treat secure the drill in a vice and use the buffing wheel as
per instructions on the pack one abrasive wheel and one polishing
supplied with buffing compound plus i finished of with Megquires metal polish. And a few hours all good [thumbsup]

I linished mine, then the stainless wax with the sisal mop, and then the cloth mop and then the paste and they came up looking like chrome. [thumbsup]

But after a week of commuting to work (6 days, all weather) and they looked like they hadnt been touched.   :( [roll]

I believe this thread is what is known as a cock tease!

Or should that be "hen tease"?

It's a chicken, and chicken in French is coq....so it's a coq-tease in reality, which is no different to some of Rob's other posts!

but it's a lovely bird, rhode island red I take it? but if she went near the tank with those claws she'd be very quickly turned from 'beloved pet' to 'parma'

Beautiful job Doc- and good to see the tyre gets used to it's capacity  [thumbsup]   Who owns all the castors and wheels in the photo?  I need to make up some custom GoJaks to move a car around the garage.  Standard ones at the local supercheap don't really accomodate an 18.5" wide tyre too well...
