Ok just wondering if any of you were lucky enough to book a place for the Turismo in February.  I was not one of them but plan on stalking/following at least for one stage.  It is going to sound soooooo gooooood!!   [bow_down]

Thanks for being there to look out for us maybe not single girls BAZZ - Heather looking forward to seeing more of the female riders out there so I will try to locate you (no offence BAZZ, should be seeing you before then techno if you will be on the ride on the 20th this month and the weather is good), I will be on a red 696 with termis! oh and TAS plates.  Planning on infiltrating the group on Wednesday 10th Feb  I think it will be, the day you are heading down the east coast to hobart.  If someone does not mind maybe you could confirm what day and where you will be coming from.

PS - I thought that our bikes made us one big happy family. [beer]

Sure no problem Roxy.  All I know for now is that we spend Tuesday night in St Helens then end up in Hobart Wednesday night.

The routes are not revealed until we turn up for registration in Launceston on the Sunday arvo.  The routes are also pretty well marked with ducati logos on the morning of that leg of the ride.

Maybe you could join us at Bazz's place on the Tuesday night? (He's offered to put us all up and I'm sure he won't mind another sister staying over!  :o )

If not, we can exchange mobile numbers closer to the day to arrange a meet up somewhere.

if you  have  your own fart trappers i can get some mattresses and then you fight over where you sleep in the rumpers room  jukie and betty have the play boy suet so if you want too sleep in that room youll have too ask jukie but will do the best i can too acomadate you  all cheers bazz

cheers heather and bazz, i will be working on the Tuesday so will ride the opposite way to you guys on the wednesdy and then make a u turn and hope to catch up - maybe when you stop for fuel/coffee.  An exchange of mobile number would be good heather!  I am so excited, the toy run here was a blast i must look a little simple as i can never get the smile off my face.

Three monsters on todays ride and that was more than any other model. (Four if you include Bazz going the other way!) Even more than CBR600's and there are plenty of them around.

sorry from me also - did have the camera but did not get any good pics..  Any thoughts on having a monster meet, maybe a similar ride but waiting at the bakery this time then heading across to campbell town!  We could let those not on monsters play too.  It was great to meet you guys and look forward to meeting you too bazz - one day.

Am I allowed on an OzMonsters ride even if I'm not on my Monster? Blasted thing spat the cush drives out the back of the sprocket & ate my eccentric hub so I came down here bikeless.

Not leaving bikeless though. In a discussion regarding my dad giving up riding, the subject of his '91 gixxer came up. I was gonna take it back to Canberra in March/April sort of timeframe, but, that's now changed. I'm taking it back on the boat with me on the 5th.

It has scarily old tyres which are a bit square and very slippery, but it went ok on a gentle lash over and back Grasstree Hill just then :).

I've got my (now incorrect URL) OzMonsters tshirt I could wear though. :P.

I'm available anytime really. After the 28th is better though, I've got my parents visiting from Brisbane.

06 S2R1k, 23k km. I'm having a hella whinge about it but made harder by the fact it was discovered just as I was to head off on an epic snowies ride to get me down to Tassie. Long story, can't be arsed derbying :).

Anyway, might be up for a ride. I'm kinda out on the 29-30-31-1-2 sorta time period but pretty sure I can squeeze in a ride sometime else :). And/or make a good day of it on my way up to the boat... though with 10 year old, squared off and knackered tyres I'm taking it pretty easy. Plus, hey, the gixxer is old enough to buy beers at a pub.

pitty your no here got all the parts here  parts stick too your guns and if you are bringing the gixxer over here puts some new rubber on your not going too enjoy your self on these roads , ther bad enough dry but wet be warned there like ice  [thumbsup]

Well, I did live in Tassie for 22 years :). Lapped most of the state before I left. (And I and the gixxer are already here. Posting from a nice house overlooking the Derwent in Lindisfarne).

I am back to work on the 4th but have most Fridays off so will keep checking to see if anyone is heading out.  Otherwise will post when i am heading out.  Only one sleep to christmas!!  yep i am still a kid at heart.

Reviving this thread as it seems we might have family commitments out of the way so we can fit in our east coast meet up.

I suggest Sunday 3 January 2010. Leave Hobart about 10 and plan to meet Bazz for lunch around Swansea / Bicheno area. Weather should be OK. Low 20's and no rain. Last ride before I'm back at work Monday.

Does this work for you Dave, Nic and Bazz?

Dave, how about we meet at the same servo as last week a bit before 9.30 for a 9.30AM departure? (For Ellingly, thats the servo where Hungry Jacks is in Eliz st. if you are able to make it).

We should be able to pick Nic up going thru Sorell at 10ish near Banjo's. That should allow plenty of time to get to Swansea.

How was the food at the Swansea Bark Mill Bazz? If it was OK we could meet there. We should arrive around lunch time. I am open to suggestions.

Nic and I got stuck behind traffic on the way up the hill but had a much clearer run coming down.

The missus is feeling it a bit being on the back on the bike all day. I could tell she was squirming around trying to get comfortable the last half hour before we got home.

Anyone get any pics? I went to bring my camera but my daughter stole it and I couldn't find it when I was leaving.
