just talked to them. trying to reserve as many rooms. currently i have 4 rooms for a total of 10 people (2 rooms with 3 beds and 2 rooms with 2 beds)
They are checking on a nearby villa for more rooms but should be more coming as i find out.
the earlier we have numbers the more chances of getting stuff close to each other and close to the track.

I am working with the place and will work some kind of reservation system with you guys on rooms.
Currently have ducducgoose and stopintime on the list as well as myself and another. so that's the 2 doubles gone.

As well as the party on the red planet at Misano you must visit the factory and take a tour plus visit the museum and shop and don't forget plenty of euro's as they also have a shop at the curcuit selling stuff off  [clap] [clap]

where are you coming from?
I'm coming from Kaiserslautern Germany. I will likely have a van and a couple of bikes with a shop friend.
I rode down from here last year in the summer. 

Raux I'll be driving from manchester (ducatimanchester) and will probably sail from hull to zeebrugge and then make a four day trip down to misano via a few swiss and italian passes.
I think that you have to register wth ducati to receive your wrist band and neckless pass which is scanned each time you enter the curcuit plus a ID band for your bike if you take one, there is a charge for the entry bands plus you also get a welcome pack, t-shirt program etc.
Being on the adriatic theres plenty of places to stay plus Rossi's home town is only afew clicks from the curcuit and well worth  visit as the speed limit through the town is 46kph and the limit signs are in the same script as the # 46 on his bikes  [bow_down].
Oh well I hope this wets afew appetite's so get saving and roll on june 2010  [beer]

I have confirmations for 4 rooms from the 9th to the 14th.
2 Doubles and 2 triples- I will find out how many people can fit, ie is a double 2 queens or 2 twin beds

In a couple of days i should know about more rooms. I am working with one location that is coordinating with multiple places for us on the ground in Italy.

Obviously it's still early for peoples' plans, but at the same time the choice places will be filling up.

This first place is a bed and breadfast 1.4km from the track. 45 euro per person per night with breakfast (will check that for sure) served outside by the pool. and private parking (key point!)

As we get a couple of months out, i'll need to get names. i'll make arrangements with the location so that way if someone drops out, someone else from here can step in. if we do it individually if someone drops we may loose a room.

if anyone has a better plan let me know, this is the best i could come up with for now.

I should be able to decide within a couple of months, if not sooner. There are some priorities to be made.....

I was planning on going there but since they changed the date it's within three months after the birth of our second child.

Anyone know about track sessions - will there be any, are they crowded, civilized/squidly?

I don't know how anyone will react to a non-Duc. I'm sure people will look at you with  ??? in their face, but you can just get a Ducati T shirt or a sticker on your bike, like "I'll transform to a Ducati if you rub me gently". ;)

Seriously, there will be lots of people without bikes even, so you'll probably be fine.

Two years ago there where track sessions but they policed the noise of your bike so be warned, also they had the usual slow, medium and fast sessions. [thumbsup]

Do you also know what the music level was? At "my" tracks it's 95dB measured by the bike or 90dB arena drive-by noise.
My bike measures 106 without baffles and 95/96 with.

Ok need to rework this. apparently in location 1 the doubles are queen beds and the triples are a queen and a twin. sooo unless stopintime is sleeping with goby, need to rearrange a bit.

I'm finding out more about the other locations as well as checking on a few more places in the same vicinity.

I've been unable to locate a large hotel closer than 3.5 miles away so i still think these B&Bs are the best option. so far the 3 we have are no more than 3km from the track.

you could use the tried and true birthcontrol method. one sleeps under the sheet the other on it.

crazy thought...

Considering every rental joint w/in a few hundred miles will be booked, has anyone considered renting a little further away and making a 'bit of a road trip out of it?

I will be flying in from either Nigeria, Colombia, Honduras, or the US (depending on where I'm working the week before)... and I kind of thought that would be a neat alternative. Come in a couple days early and leave a couple days late...

We're trucking the bikes with Mike aka duc900s doing some riding with Capo's and my bike coming out at mugello were we are stopping off for the motogp and then hopefuly riding the passes before leaving the firenze area me driving the van with Stewart and Mike riding thier bikes to misano. We to will have space for another bike from the UK plus afew friends luggage so if any body wants a bike transporting to misano arriving on wednesday 9th and leaving on monday 14th june please PM me  [thumbsup]

Jerry were are we with the number of people at the moment who are definitely coming and I wonder if the guys over the pond realise that the weekend before WDW2010 that there is a motogp at mugello which is less than a days  [moto] (drive) away from misano, well worth thinking about as it would be the icing on the cake for those making the long haul to see Ducati and Rossi on thier home turf  [wine].

The ride from mugello to misano will be great as there are a couple of passes on route that you could choose from, and on WDW2007 I travelled on one of them and it was the best days riding of the whole tour  [moto].
Desmoworks has posted that NCR have a shop in bologna which would make another great place to visit after the ducati factory  [bow_down]

I'm doing this 7 day tour through Tuscany and ending at World Ducati week. Supposedly there is track time possible at Misano circuit. Not sure if it is possible through Ducati or through this tour company, but I'm signing up for it for sure. There are a few spots left I think if anyone wants in.

If you don't mind camping, the main campground is right next to the sea, and a beautiful beach.

I'm In  [bacon] I'll be participating in the World President Meeting using the package offered by Ducati. After that I have a bunch of friends near by who will be hosting me.  I will laso have a Ducati all week. Hope to meet you guys there.

I just checked the schedule, and yes I will also be at the Moto GP at Mugello. 

Well guys just 12 more days before we hit the road for the italian motogp at mugello and then WDW at misano the following weekend... [moto]

I'm taking the retard in the back of my van along with alot of luggage for friends who are riding there, DU900S is following me in his van with his bike and Capo's S4R in the back,Oh yeh!! Capo's bike has been accepted in the Ducati Garage Contest so lets all wish him the best of luck and hopefully we'll bring the prize home... [beer]

well i've had a huge setback today.

the forks i got to replace my bent one's are not going to work. so i have to find replacements.

Hopefully I'll be there.

Havent started the Monster in 18 months, spent the last few weeks resurrecting it, new bearings, service.

Off for its MOT (annual inspection) tomorrow, fingers crossed all goes well.

Then its off to Italy, yay

i may have  room for you if you havent got one.

if i can't get this fork issue straight, i won't have a bike to ride there.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm already sorted, a bunch of us from the UKMONSTER club are staying in a hotel in Catollica.
