MD State Fairground in Timonium. Races start at 7:00 on both Friday and Saturday. Also races next Saturday the 19th
Flat track racing indoors* on polished concrete - this is a total hoot if you've never been. Classes for all age ranges and displacements so there's lots of racing to watch.
* By "indoors" I mean it's a structure with a roof and walls, but it's unheated so bundle up.
the XR100 spec class is a real hoot to see as those guys totally make a show out of getting every ounce of everything out of that 8hp machine....
i have a few friends that race in the 100 class, but they usually only race in the summer on the dirt. I have been to the indoor races, but the ventilation was, or used to be, aweful. It is a good time, no doubt.
ventilation isn't helped either by the guys using methanol or race fuel in those bikes either....those fumes can be downright noxious sometimes...
