So I was driving through Colorado last week for work and spotted a Duc/BMW dealership off I-25.  I stopped in as I'm drawn to these store. After talking with the staff and checking out the bikes I notice a new unused carbon arrow exhaust for an s2r sitting in the blowout special parts bin... So 20 minutes later I've paid for my Christmas present and had it shipped to my house. My wife was very understanding...  [wine].  

The only thing is no instruction guide. It seems prett straight forward, but any advice on installation?

There wasn't much too it.  If I recall getting the old exhaust on the back cylinder and the new one one is a bit of a PITA but it's worth it.  The best sounding and best looking exhaust IMHO.  

Here is a video from the night I got it installed.  It's so loud but sounds better than anything I've ever heard.

I just got a S2R1000 and it looks exactly like yours, before the Arrows.  I like your clutch cover and presssure plate.  Who makes those?  Also, any recommendation on colors?  I know you have gold to match your wheels.  I have the stock black wheels.

No they didn't have any more for sale. But they did have the Leo Vince Slip on's, both Ti and Carbon for around 400. I don't mean to be deal spotting, just trying to help out a fellow ducatista.

It is very straight forward - you may want to get some sealant (i used the copper and have no leaks).

The verticle pipe to the head is the only part that is a bit tough - i found that a ratchet wrench was a huge help in getting those bolts tight.  Also, having some kind of simple spring puller is helpful to get the connection springs on.  IIRC i actually used a zip tie made into a loop and then cut it off.

I got the 10 spoke to go with the 10 spoke wheels.  If you have the stock 5 spoke marchesini's you could match  up with there 5 spoke clutch cover.  Also, make sure you get anodized caps and stainless springs if you are going to run an open cover, otherwise you'll be looking at rusty clutch springs all the time. 

I used to use the speedy moto arun clutch cover but I wrecked it.  I still use it if I put the duc on the track since it's already scuffed up and apparently indestructible.

If you have black wheels, I'd stick to black everything.  I really liked my bike when it was black and white but the gold wheels were used and I went to the black and gold on a whim, I ended up really liking the gold parts so I just went with it. 

wow that's cheap.  I got my system at cost through a buddy I know who is a dealer and I still paid about 2x that.  Either way, you'll be very pleased.  Those pipes sounds so good.  IMHO the 1000DS with race pipes in general is one of the best sounding ducs.  The 2V air cooled motors are just so loud.

The carbon sleeves alone are $200 per.  :o

Congrats on the Arrows, sounds great (loud  [evil]).

I installed the full system on my S4R. As said before the tricky part was to get the vertical pipe on the vertical cylinder, but just take your time. I actually had to shorten one of the pin bolts on the head to get the new exhaust pipe on.

I also shortened the bracket for the cans to get them sitting higher, I think it looks better. This caused some problems with fitting the cans with the bracket, had to drill some new mounting holes.

And yes, leave everything loose until you're happy with it, then tighten it up and install the springs.

Thanks for the help guys. I got them installed in a couple of hours last night.  Wow! The sound coming out of my bike is amazing, compared to how lawn mowerish it sounded with stock pipes.

The zip ties was a great suggestion for a couple of the springs.  The only hiccups was that the midpipes wouldn't mate with carbon pipes. I gently ran the dremel around the outside of the mid pipe and voila, mated perfectly.

Dammit, I guess I'm going to start looking for some Arrow's now.  Those sound awesome!
