Title: There's nuts, and then there's this
Post by: triangleforge on December 16, 2009, 07:15:57 AM
From the write up at Jalopnik:

"There are dumb bad ideas, dangerous bad ideas, and bad ideas that are staggering achievements of genius. The Brimstone Quadracycle is the latter. A custom-built, four-wheeled motorcycle with a V8 cranking out up to 750HP. It'll even tow a trailer."

Tow a trailer? There's a line between sanity and insanity, and I guess when it's so far behind you that the horizon is closer, there's really not much point in turning loose of the throttle.

4-wheeled motorcycle?

By any sane definition I can think of, that's not a motorcycle. Just because it has a seat that one straddles and handlebars doesn't mean it's not just a bizarre car.

I almost posted that up, but couldn't get past the fact that it's a car.

Hey, though if you've got the $$ to build it, more power to you!  [thumbsup]

Screw it, it's cool anyway. Love the hood sloping back. The visual aspect of the design is tight, couldn't imagine how it handles but I bet it runs like a striped ass ape.

My guess is that they thought for about ten minutes about how they'd engineer a seatbelt of some sort for it and just said "screw it, it's a motorcycle."

It's a "street quad" I'm surprised Honda doesn't make one yet.
