Spend a couple more thousand and get a nice example is my advice. However, do some research, I've heard a rumor or two that the maintenance and reliability on the Brutale is just that.

If everything mechanical checks out, that looks like a sweet deal, even with the salvage title and miles.

Why is he selling? I had a friend with one of those and they were God aweful unfomfortable. Supposedly the new ones are way more butt friendly. Also, anybody with a garage like that can afford an upgrade. Wait a few weeks and the price will start dropping. I picked up a cherry 2006 S2R 800, with Zards, 15K miles for $4K back in September. The OO had started at $6500 and dropped the price every week it didnt sell.
