From the Washington Post this morning. Awesome show of force buddy......
WASHINGTON â€" Washington, D.C., police are investigating after Internet videos showed a detective waving his gun during a mass snowball fight on a city street.
Police said Monday they were looking into reports that the plainclothes officer pulled a gun after he and his personal car were hit by snowballs. Police say witness accounts and videos from the scene appeared to support the claims.
Hundreds of people were gathered for the snowball fight during Saturday's record snowstorm.
A video posted on YouTube showed the officer waving and pointing a gun as he walks toward the snowballers. Another video shows what appears to be the same man telling people he is a detective and that he pulled his gun because he was hit by snowballs.
THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below.

Hahaha!
Hopefully Detective Buzzkill will be put on suspension for that inappropriate display of force.
It's a shame when guys like this give all the hardworking LEO's out there a bad rep.
What a tool.

Not wise, not wise...I'd expect him to be retiring shortly.

fail.
What a dumbass... [roll]
They prob deserved it.. he shldnt have pulled his gun unless he stated he was a cop and then they continued to pelt him with snowballs.. if and only then shld he have pulled out.. I remember I would make snow balls hard engh to knock out or really cause injury to some one.. a ball of ice being hurled @ 80mph for sure is deadly..
I want anyone who can throw an 80mph snowball on my side. [cheeky]

Somehow, I don't believe any of those hipsters and cube dwellers could muster up an 80mph snow ball. Besides, it was pretty powered snow that day, great for skiiing, crap for snowballs.
Yes, a hard pack, damp snow ball can hurt like hell - and and ice ball could do real damage if it hit just right. But deadly? Really now... How many baseball players have been hit by a fast pitch or a line drive and died? Yes, I am aware that some little leaguers have died that way - but never have I heard of an adult.
I think I recognize the Detective!!
He's a certain private in this movie...

I'm not condoning his actions just stating my points.. I played base ball for 12yrs, we wear helmets.. I can throw an 80mph snow ball.. my friend, who went to the big leagues for a while, could throw over 90..
It was bad judgment on this guys end of course.. some people can't handle the power of being on the job.. he sure is shit out of luck thigh..
