Length, axle centerline to top of outer leg (NOT top of cap):

SBK 43mm adjustable 1999 - 28 1/8"
Monster 43mm Showa adjustable - 27 5/16"
Monster 43mm Showa non-adjustable 2001 M750 - 28 5/16"
Monster 43mm non-adjustable - 27 5/16"
Monster 41mm non-adjustable - 28 3/8"

Length added for cap:

SBK 43mm adjustable 1999 - 1 1/2"
Monster 43mm Showa adjustable - 1 1/2"
Monster 43mm non-adjustable - 3/8"
Monster 41mm non-adjustable - 3/8"

To add to this listing:

MultiStrada top triple is 53mm and the lower is 54.  Forks are MUCH longer than Monster units, but if someone wanted to make a Monster dirt-bike (or some other contraption), all that would be needed is a SBK conversion top triple to make them fit.  As far as what that would do to rake and trail, well.... YMMV.
