Ducati Monster Forum

I am hoping to head down to Road America next month (June 5, 6 & 7th if anyone was unaware).  I understand there is a Ducati tent for parking and some other tips someone "in the know" could throw me a bone on.  Should I buy tickets at the gate?  Parking?  Anyone else going to be there?

I was thinking about going on Sunday.  I'm not sure if I am going to but a ticket early or not.  Are you sure there will be a Ducati tent?

There was a couple years ago but I didn't go the either.  I was hoping you guys are cooler than me and would tell me what's up.

Corse will be there I'm guessing that they will have a tent.  If your cool with sunday we can meet up at their tent.  Kyna will bring cupcakes [thumbsup]

I would love to but I have some "in-laws" coming in that weekend and I'm told that I want to spend time with them.....at least one of them likes to golf so I get to do something that I enjoy...

The no races was bad enough, but now I'm not going to get cupcakes either.....this bites!

I spoke with Corse today and they said that Ducati will NOT have a tent this year now will Corse be there.

Will Corse have a tent?

no,  but they said there would be no shortage of fun motorcycle stuff even though Ducati won't be represented.

Me?  Or is there more than 1 Joe?  Anyway, would love to come up to RA for the festivities, but I will be leaving on Friday for a Canadian fishing trip from the 7th-14th.  Just got my tank back from the painters too.  Catch you all some other time though, hope its a blast  [moto]

What are the AMA rules for rain, do they just wait it out no matter how long it takes IE 2-5 hours?

I'm not going to the races this weekend. Haven't been to a superbike weekend in a while. We all know who's gonna win anyway right? ;)

I will be going (99%) to the vintage weekend next weekend tho. Little different scene I imagine. I haven't ever gone but should be fun.

I'll be looking at weather.com in the AM, if the weather is going to be like it is today, IE flash floods and tornado warnings I may bail.  Not worth going to a canceled event

Was out riding today, put on about 250 miles. Managed to hit the thunderstorm and get hailed on. sweet!

I'll probably be on my S4R but may take the GasGas as it's much easier to putz around on.

friend of mine had a camera and took some pics of bikes in the pits and maybe a couple racing. i'll ask.

There was virtually no one there. I'd guess maybe 500 people spectators.

It was fun to watch but we really had no idea what was going on. No handout program or anything and several classes running at once.

zero cars. You're probably thinking of the 'Kohler International Challenge with Brian Redman' which is in July. Don't feel bad if you didn't know what the weekend was about - it's not like they advertised for it that I know of.

It's a shame that there weren't more people there. It's of course not as big of a draw as the AMA weekend, but I figured there would be a crowd there. Wrong. There were between 0 and 5 people watching the races from the corners. Turn 8 had the biggest crowd with perhaps 30 people covering the hillside. In fact, I'd venture a guess that there were more people at the supermoto course for 'stunt wars' than watching the races.

Anyway, I was surprised to see brand new Ducs and Dukes there. I figured vintage is all would be there.  The KTM team were doing a practice round before heading to Miller in Utah for this weekend.They dominated the first race they were in - not bad for a couple supermoto guys ;) The 2nd race one of em dropped out, but the other still won handily. Doug Polen was there on his 1098's, Woundedduc.com was there with a florescent yellow/blue 99x.

There was no supermoto racing on the small track Sunday, the only day I went. I think there was supposed to be but they only ran Saturday. So they allowed the supermoto guys to run on the road course in one of the classes. Funny to see coming up the hill to the finish line. A couple were tucked in as much as possible, but a couple were practically leaning over the handlebars  :)

Your right I was thinking of the 'Kohler International Challenge'.  I still won't have made it but now I regret it even more.
