Title: sight glass on the left side of the 695

on the opposite side of the sight glass for engine oil level(clutch cover side).  what is it for? I dont see any fluid in it.

Try filling more oil [thumbsup]





.......... or wait for someone to provide a serious answer. (I think it's a place to check engine position when something is about to be adjusted)

ha.. the engine oil sight glass shows full oil.

Yeah it's for checking timing and crank position

Thanks man. I was a little iffy about starting the bike up as she has been sitting for almost a month after the low side. Damn its good to hear that sound again

BTW, how is that done on bikes like mine, with no glass in that hole.

You have to remove the plug if there is no window.
