I missed last years and now that christmas is over I'm looking to schedule the bigger trips for 10.

DIRT is on in Oray colorado on Au (06?), the second weekend in AU 10.

i was going to argue, but the rain did let up for lethe and i. i just had fog and a crazy man leading through the pitch black with a headlight that wasn't aimed quite right on mountain roads.

We are considering it and discussing it at this time, but no formal plans have been made.

We will make a formal announcement when a decision has been reached.

Dude I drove though there last week on the way to Tucson and it was awful. I have to drive back tomorrow. I plan on using the air filter setting and keeping it on recirculation for about 50 miles.

Next year  or the year after I'll host at my brand new 1/2 acre of bare land (has trees, near a lake) in the boonies near a town called 100 mile in the South Cariboo BC  ... I just bought it I cant beleive it ... planning for a cabin now! yaa haw!  Might have running water by then .... but the lakes right there ....

I assume your referring to me as I don't Know If Someguy/Mr I is a Dave also and he apparently lives on the peninsula up in the mountains which is south...


From Vancouver yes I'm Just north of S.F. From S.F Im Waaayyyyy up there someplace in the wilderness and..Uh oh there might not be any cell phone coverage or even internet...But yea 17 Acres (Not to mention the thousands of adjoining state park sand dune acres) but it would be a camping situation, Unless peeps wanted to Base out of nearby hotels. But there could be a big fire and there is plenty of tent space. And plenty of noise can be made.

The problem is that for years Ive been telling everyone from So Cal that the roads up here suck and that its way better down south. And if they come up here and find out the truth, they are going to tell everybody, and before long it won't be my own personal racetrack anymore.

Why don't you start a poll to see where people want to have the DIMBY based on those who offered to host, and do another poll about the dates peeps want to attend. That should get the show on the road.....

Cause it's like pizza toppings-you can't have four people pick out two toppings only. it never works-no one wants to back off the pepperoni agenda, but the veggie folks don't want their food tainted as well, and the lone cheese lover doesn't see the need to pay for the extra.


This can't be left up to the unwashed masses.

There has been no mountain lion trouble around my place in a couple of years. I think the bobcat might have got killed on the road which leaves only the Cyote.

Date TBD. Suggestions are welcome. I'm out of the country for the first two-three weeks of may, and the last two or three of June, so those weeks are out.

There be plenty of good roads here in the Santa Cruz mountains.

Food will be provided. As will liquor. Beer will be in short supply. There is several grand worth of quality hard liquor here, so forgive the beer shortage. I'll buy mixers and a bartending book. We'll play a rousing game of "Guess That Liquor!" Eligible contestants will receive one buzz and a godalmighty hangover. You may take that hangover with you. It is yours to keep.

The cigar cabinet will be opened.

There are plenty of places to sleep here, regular beds and inflatable ones.

You can camp be you adventurous.

No disturbing my tenant.

Do not let the dogs out/feed them.

No drinking and driving, period. I'll lock the gate if I have to.

And, after the *last* party..... if you have a medical condition that the host should be aware of, you will inform the make the beast with two backsing host prior to said medical condition becoming overwhelmingly relevant.


Once the date gets sorted, RSVP's would be helpful.
