what size rotors do i need for a 1999 750 monster? 300mm or 320mm.
thanks
al
320 mm.
320 mm 10mm offset, 6 bolt. All monsters up to 2005 used that set up. in '05 they started to transition to the 300mm 0 offset rotors on the 620 and S2R 800. Also, 748, 916, 996, 998 share the same 320 rotors as Monsters.
I got a spare set if you are interested - Brembo OEM on my '99 M900. 320/10/6 [thumbsup]
Doing a conversion?

yup. i know adding rotational weight isn't a good thing but i hate the look of a single disc. also, i am looking into doing a 900cc swap sometime soon. as far as the extra set of rotors, i just bought some on ebay. thanks for the offer though. i haven't received them so i might take you up on that.
you cant have my motor
I saw your post in the Parts Wanted thread..
I WAS going to offer you the stock rotor from my 97,
(http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll67/hooliganmachinist/DSC01923.jpg?t=1263144078)
but you were asking for a 300mm.
Oh well, too late now i suppose.. [laugh]
i should have waited to buy them off of ebay. [bang]
thanks for the offer.
i still got the pair [thumbsup]
Always check around here for parts first. The level of camaraderie on this board never fails to amaze me. I belong to a couple different boards (dirt bike and snowmobile) and the way people attack each other and whine and pregnant dog and start pissing matches over literally nothing. This place rocks and I am reminded of that every time I go to one of my other forums.
I too did a brake upgrade, clip-on, headlight gauge lowering and got almost every part and tech advice needed from various board members.
Good luck. Remember to post pics when you are done, otherwise we won't believe that you did anything at all. [thumbsup]
