Hey everyone, I did a search in this but didn't come up with anything so I thought I'd post up this question.  Yesterday, I had ridden my S4R to work and while getting ready to ride home, I noticed something pretty surprising.  The bracket that is used to attach the exhaust pipes to the underside of the seat sub frame had sheared away! The exhaust was basically just hanging there, supported by no more than the mid pipe!!! At first, I thought maybe someone had tipped the bike over or maybe it had been hit by something but there were no signs what so ever of any other damage to the bike.  I don't at this point even know when this happened.  For all I know, it probably had been like that when I rode it to work that morning.

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm curious to know if this is a common problem or not.  I guess I'll need a new mounting tab welded in place....great.  Anyway, here are a couple of photos I shot when I got home (fortunately, it's only a 6 mile ride):

start chewing gum now, you should have enough in a few hours to stick it back together.

Many options, gum seems the most personally satisfying!

If that other topic had been titled properly it would have been very easy for the OP to find.

This bike appears to be an '05 S4R, the other bike is definitely an S4R or S4Rt.

Both in red/white, with Arrows.

That's twice. What's the issue? I say the weight of dual side pipes. That and they are ugly.  :D

more likely the arrows' bracket is just slightly off that it's putting pressure on the bracket.
probably anyone with the arrow cans needs to check their exhaust bracket. then if more have cracking, contact arrows.

That's why i was looking for feedback, to see if this is indeed a problem others have experienced....at least one has! Yes, its an 05 S4R.  I suppose if anyone else has the Arrows (mine being CF of course) then it probably is a good idea to keep an eye on that bracket.  For now, I'm gonna try and find someone who does welding/body work on bikes to get a new braket tacked up there.  Thanks for everyone's help!

As I mentioned in the other thread I had my bracket welded ($20), modded the Arrow hanger to relieve any stress and was back on the road in no time.

I'm making CF straps for my Remus cans and figuring out how many plies to use when I saw this tread.  One thing that jumps at you is that the Remus mounting uses custom bolt-on brackets with rubber inserts where the can straps bolt on.  The Arrows appear to be solid mounts.  Maybe there is a way you can mod the can brackets to add rubber bushings?
