Title: Oil Cooler and Rad Guards?
Post by: ArcDeDucati on January 08, 2010, 11:04:51 AM
Anyone try one of these?  http://www.evotech-performance.com/acatalog/Ducati_Radiator___Oil_Cooler_Guards.html (http://www.evotech-performance.com/acatalog/Ducati_Radiator___Oil_Cooler_Guards.html)

I tend to ride in areas that are so buggy that I can't see through visor halfway through the day.  My rad and oil cooler are covered with bugs.  But I would be concerned that this would prevent the airflow through the units.  I don't need my bike running any hotter in ny traffic than it already does.

I didn't like that mesh style they use, I prefer the more open Mesh style the www.Radguard.com.au (http://) (http://) guys use.
I would prefer not to use a guard at all, but when I did purchase a guard for my S2R's oil cooler, I looked at as
many different design as I could, and I preferred there more open mesh and the fit and finish.

with the extreme heat and Humidity we get here in Tropical northern Australia Australia for 6 months of the year
Air flow is very important (And I know what you mean with the Bugs  :o )

I use a RADPROTECT mesh type on my S4, unobtrusive and good insurance against stones etc.
