Looking for advice on ECU options for the S2R1000 with a full Arrow system and the TPO or Ducshop pod filter kit. I also want the immobilizer and O2 gone.

I'm looking at:
Desmo-Porsche "DP ECU" $400. Must be the DP Termi map? Will that work for a fullsystem and pods or will I end up adding a PC3 for another $275?
ProTune ECU flasher $600, choose one map and hope it's a good match.
Nemesis ECU $800 Adjustable, no need for a piggyback (PC3).

Not sure how the pods will change your A/F, but in stock air box form with the full arrow and the 02 manipulators, my bike is just fine. Hell of a lot cheaper than shelling out for an ECU. Just my .02 manipulator cents :)

I think I replied to your PM a few weeks back.
I went with Desmo-Porsche "DP ECU" and its perfect. The Nmss and Micro are fully customizable - but you 1) need the know how and time and 2) a dyno. I have neither and was looking for a plug an play solution that kept my OEM ECU stock. I think the Micro is an awsome peice and in my opinion for what its worth, far better than the Nmss.  I believe they are alos the brains behind the development. When you buy the Desmo-Porsche "DP ECU" he can either partaly or totally eliminate your imobilizer. I went with the partial. My limmeter is up to almost 9.5 and way more top end. All that bac pressure popping is gone and it runs rich and smooth. I feel like an ass that i was running it as it was for 13k but ignorance is bliss. At anyrate, my set up is the full Arrow w/ closed box/KN - the thing runs perfect. I know you want to run pods or full open. With this set up it will be 1000 times better that your current. If you must run pods or full open box, either by the microtec and map it ur self, call silverback and ask if they can map your configuration or run it a tad lean with the Desmo-Porsche "DP ECU". In conclusion, I also looked at the Motowheels solution but though for the $$ i was 1/2 way to a Microtec. What I ultimatly loved about the Microtec was that you could buy their ECU and drop it into an 848 after hitting it with a new map. My thought was great more ROI.... But I still had to get down to Ducshop in Marietta GA from Boston. My research was extensive  - The plan was scrapped and I went for a 400 solution hoping it would work and but still keeping my OEM stock. It l did. My plan for my 2007 S2R is to keep the mods light now that the fuel is fixed and ride the piss out of it...Upward and onwards.

Yup, that was me. One of the reasons I was thinking of just going with a K&N and call it good. Maybe do the pods and a PC3 next winter.

I want the immobilizer gone no matter what. The PO lost the Red Key. Silverback wants $250 just for immobilizer elimination, map reflash is added to that. I can get the Desmo DP ECU for less.

If you want to properly map the bike, you will need a dyno regardless of what choice you make.  I went with the Nemesis mainly because is is fully adjustable.  Since I plan on doing lots of work on my bike, this seemed like the best choice for me.  Not sure how extensive you are planning to modify the bike, but if it gets in depth, I suggest either the Nemesis or Microtech. 

Hard to spend that kind of money but I only want to do it once. I should just get a shock instead.
