Sorry I don't know, looked through a couple of the obvious retailers with no luck.

If I was cynical, ha, who am I trying to kid ... I might suggest that those looking for an open face helmet don't usually think Arai. It could be the smallest market in a small market.

I was just after something small and light to use when going on short rides to the shops etc...

Any suggestions?

I don't think I am am the right person to ask. I think my helmet is both small and light but I don't think that is what you are after (full face Shoei).

My suggestion would be to go and try some on and see what you think ... fit is important, so you'll want something that fits your noggin.

Dunno about the helmet, but you can get the matching outfit (thongs, t-shirt and shorts) from Target.  ;)
But seriously, wait til the first time a rock gets flicked up, or a bug flies into your face, then you might change your mind about an open face helmet.
Remember that crusty old statistic about the most accidents being close to home.

Hmmm, i was a postie for 10 years and wore an open face on the mighty ct110, but there is no way i would wear one on my own bike, there's just not enough protection for me. that said, each to their own, if you want one then cool, but don't buy one on line, they fit different and sizing varies across brands, when you add to that the wind gets under an open face very easily a poorly fitting one will become uncomfortable very quickly.

I have one they meet all the australian standards.
not padded real well, but ok for short trips.

at one stage mcas carries these, the member formerly known as kickstart has one, and I'm sure he got one from there. Not cheap as compared to the regular run of the mill open faces, so perhaps they decided to stop stocking them..

Yeah me too. Love the DEUS stuff  [thumbsup] But.... those helmets are typical of all their stuff. Lovely design, simple, elegant, old school, and outrageously over priced for what you get :o Wish I was a rich enough knob to afford their gear!

Woohoo! $1000 for a helmet you can't legally use, I'll take two [roll]

I've spotted some non-members around on Ducs wearing these:

Yang, I have 2 helmets similar to these sitting in the shed not being used....your welcome to them if you want to pick them up (SA is not that far away!) or pay the postage!

I purchased them around 3-4 years ago when I had my Harley....you know gotta have an open face helmet on a Hog!  After riding with full face helmets basically all my life I felt really exposed wearing these....not to mention the bugs in the face & the wind constantly pulling them back.

Needless to say they are not being used any more....its just as easy to put a regular helmet on & they offer heaps more protection......remember that old saying that you do the most damage at 20kph when going down the shops!
