Call it the Derby Derby.
Who cares if it's a Derby. That bike is incredible! [moto]
It deserves to be posted up every couple of months (especially during the winter).

Agreed! [thumbsup]
Besides it's good for our bikes to have life long aspirations!
When my monster grows up, it want's to be big like this:

time to change brake fluid. (pic 3)
the only thing that bike has that resembles an S2R is the motor.
this is more like an S2R that got into a huge accident where the lost all limbs, and the only thing that survives is the organs...not even the body that was containing it....JUST the organs...taht got transplanted into a new body.
Other then that, HOT STUfF!!

We can rebuild him.
We have the technology.

im trying to say theres nothing in common with an S2R aside from the motor and swingarm.

Who cares? (What about the frame?)
frame isn't s2r. subframe & additional bracing below the rear motor mount.
swing arm looks stock -powder/paint
still looks like it has dirty brake fluid.

Oh I know that (I read the article), but an S2R is closer to that than the bike they started with.
Pipe wrap is backwards.... edges are facing forward....
The motor doesn't have to be from an S2R either. I'm thinking about using the motor from a 999 to build one :)
The only thing that I think would HAVE to be from an S*r is the swingarm.
So, I think it is more like, your S2r can donate its swingarm to this bike.

Im really just trying to keep anyone from getting their S2R to look like that, that would be a mission impossible task because the only thing youd keep is the swingarm. :P
the motor isnt a DS, so its probably a 900cc. ;D
Title should be "when my SBK goes down...." [evil]

Exactly. I talked with those guys. The engine is exactly that, a 900cc, and all of the other parts seem to be pulled from a 749 / 999, except the swingarm.
i think your able to buy their tank and tail kits for ~1500 or something. ive been on their site like a crack addict.
i want that bike so bad, in a DS1000. but the idea is stupid. you pay for SBK frame insurance, but you have a DS1000 engnine. :( thats a $1000 differnece a year for some people.
