they seem to think their idea was original...
"...beeing a real Ducatisti, unfortunately, the bike to perfectly
fullfill this vision, didn`t exist."
still looks cool I reckon..  apparently the 2 valve version will have the veetwo supercharger fitted...  ;D

A bit different than the DesmoDevil, IMO.

I like it.  8) Very drag-bikey.

all that custom work and they could find a better looking solution for the reservoirs ??

on the dragstrip the seat / peg / bar relationship might work.  What they have would be perfect for the Bonneville Salt Flats.

general statement:  I think it looks pretty damn cool!  Remember my original DesmoDevil is six years old now and customers have been riding them for almost five.  I haven't built a new one in over two years.  (other project upcoming and manufactured parts are why)

comments:

a) that oil cooler will be history fast
b) ditto for that rear exhaust header
c) Looks like a SBK frame given the shape/style with an extended headset tube. (not recommended and why I build new chromoly frames instead)  Ducati frames are pretty weak to begin with and why I have refused hundreds of people who contacted me to cut/rake their frames.  Safety first!
d) swingarm looks custom though.
e) Stock Ducati triple clamp.  Trail figure will be stupidly long -- it will flop at low speed and be hard to turn at high speed.  They probably need @2.6-2.9in offset given the rake of the forks.
f) where is the brakelight and license plate?  I'd love to see how they get a Euro plate on this!
g) at least hide the battery -- it's fugly!
h) it needs a set o BoomTubes!

I'm definitely going to keep my eyes open for what else they build upcoming...

I agree, those are kind of sticking out.

I'm sure you could easily fix that.  [roll]  All that custom work, and that's all you can say.  :D

veetwo had one from the super squalo thing. Its been on ebay a few time at around $1000 aus  with no takers.  I had a look but I cant find it available ATM, but I'm pretty sure its still available...

On the swingarm, if someone finds better pictures -- please post.  Just curious if they did a Honda-style lower linkage setup (leveraged setup) or a direct fit mount.

One of the big problems was getting a rear shock to work on my DesmoDevil.  I bet not too many people have seen eyelet-to-eyelet shocks that are 9.25in in length and that still work with 5-to-1 leverage ratios!  Total "stroke length" is .75 inches.  No -- it isn't a motorcycle Penske valving inside of it.

I like how they used the standard length shock setup which is MUCH easier to tune!

Definitely an interesting bike.

that was the first thing that jumped out at me  8)
i'm guessing its not complete...but if it is they need to pick a consistent color scheme
(white, black, gold, orange, blue going on)

other than those nit-picks i think its great

nice bike, wouldn't mind having one on my garage besides my M620D...but, there's something still not fully convincing me of it...

Ok they apparently explain some of the concerns Mark has about the low oil cooler and exhaust. this is a race bike. not a street bike. they are working on a street bike now.

here's teh CAD drawings

and a blown up image of the two parts in question

Big props on the fab work and layout  (even if it is a copy of the Desmo-Devil).

Big FAIL on the fit & finish of the components.  Seemed like they got the frame and bodywork done and then just bolted all the shit to the sides of the bike.  Haven't they stolen ANY ideas from FlightCycles.com?!?   [laugh]

A for effort.

B for finish.

What form of racing?

meaning more it's a track bike only. no lights, low clearance... the guy who started apparently is an track day type of rider. not sure what kind of track it would do well on, i mean the german tracks are really curvy and I can't imagine that corners well.
