Title: Will these fit?
Post by: The Bearded Duc on January 14, 2010, 10:44:22 PM
Will Pazzo levers from a 695 fit on my '01 750? Coffin reservoir.

Also, the passenger brackets?

They *should* - but a double check with pazzo never hurt

And passenger brackets? Not sure what those are - can you explain that a little more?

In general though, most parts from an 01+ dual sided swing arm Monster will fit any other. Most but not all.

Brake lever fits, clutch not. the clutch lever for the 695 is D-22, you need DC-12.

Sorry, the rear passenger foot peg. If they're even called that....
These are not the ones I'm asking about

All the foot pegs on a DSS monster are the same - wit ha couple exceptions. They are lefty/righty and the ones that come on dark models don't have a rubber coating.  But any same side peg, front or back will fit.

double-swingarm monsters have one bracket that holds rider and passenger pegs.
if you have solo (rider only) pegs, adding a rear section will be specific to the manufacturer of the part you have.
Post a pic, and we can help you figure out what brand you have.

(if it is just the footpeg itself...what yuu said  :))

Here's a pic of mine. My passenger setup is silver but I found a set in black(which I want real bad ;D), but they're from a 695 and I'm not sure if they will fit my 750. Still waiting on the guy to get back to me....

Those are stock rearsets.
you should be fine with the new parts
(the frame changed in 02, but i think the rearsets are the same)

another option is to take your stock pieces and have them powdercoated black.
that is cheap and works well.

i am taking apart some rearsests to get done next week.
i got a quote for two bikes rearsets, pegs, levers, and 4 truck wheels for $150 (that is a really good price tho)

Any chance you live in SoCal?! If not, where should I be looking to get that kind of stuff done? Can the forks be PC'd?

used to live in central cal...but no.
(see avatar)

rearsets, swingarm easy to powdercoat.
forks not so much

the cheap and easy fix to black out the  forks is vinyl wrap (if you do a search i think somebody has talked about it)

Yeah, got the thread on vinyl.  :-\
I'm kind of up in the air about how it looks. But I guess if I don't like it I can just take it right off.
I found a few places here and sent emails for quotes, we'll see what they say...

You wouldn't happen to have a ballpark on cost? just so I know what I'm walking in to or if I'm being mess with

Probably a couple hundred to anodize them. Maybe less since it's one color and they shouldn't need any finishing like polishing or bead blasting. But to anodize them you need to totally disassemble the forks. The process involves an acid bath. Good news is that if you do 'hard' ano it makes the surface hardness of the aluminum a good bit

Thanks for the advice, definitely something to look in to. Gonna try the vinyl for now. Less permanent, ya know...
