Do you wish your Ducati had more wattage to power more lights & accessories?

Option 2: No

- Early Monster carbies put out @350watts max.
- Fuel injected Monsters put out @500 watts max.
- M1100 Monster puts out @550watts max.
Over the years, its become difficult at times in dealing with the Ducati electrical system. Add a GPS device, radar detector, phone charger and heated gloves -- you better not turn the hi-beam on with the low-beam for more than a few minutes at a time else your battery will get drained and you will come to a stop. Good luck with a heated vest or chaps -- or even have a dirty fuel filter (more pull on the pump to overcome). And forget about using a high wattage bulb in the headlight. (not that the factory wiring can handle it anyways!)
Question #1: What would be the ideal wattage output for the Ducati to power everything?
Question #2: If someone could provide an additional 75-100watts beyond factory output for < $225 for a swappable high-tech piece of equipment (fuelie's only) -- would there be any interest?
Would this be a change at the alternator?
I believe you have categorized them at "small alternator" carbies (97 and earlier) and big alternator (3-phase charging system - 98-99 M's) carbies and fuelies, and then the newest monsters. If it is an alternator swap, it seems like it could work on the big alternator carbies, such as the 98-99 Monsters (like mine).
if so, I'd be interested.
On a newer bike, such as a M696 or H796, I will be interested in the future. Would be most interesting if the device also had a powerlet plug or two built in (assuming its not alternator replacement).
