Title: Termi question? Post by: CCEMN1 on January 17, 2010, 08:52:17 AM If I install a full Termi system on my 2007 S4RS, will I be able to retain the stock passanger footpegs & brackets?
Thanks. Title: Re: Termi question? Post by: geoffduc on January 17, 2010, 10:21:48 AM YES [thumbsup]

Title: Re: Termi question? Post by: stopintime on January 17, 2010, 12:24:07 PM I love how hard mod virus hit you CCEMN1 ;D
If they're not already black, I'd suggest giving that a thought 8) But keep the peg in it's original color. Title: Re: Termi question? Spot on there Lars [thumbsup] Been there done that ;) ;) it's a good looking mod [bow_down] [coffee] Title: Re: Termi question? Post by: h_bakken on January 17, 2010, 06:33:17 PM Retaining the pegs is no problem, but there WILL be a problem retaining your passenger on the back of the bike with the extra HP... I had the Termi system installed and had Ducati Seattle do a dual-map tune with PC-III, and so far I have been very happy.

Is the PC III a necessity if I'm using the DP ECU? I'd like to eventually go that route in time anyway, if I can find a good tuner in this area, as the differences it made on my Aprilia were amazing! Title: Re: Termi question? Post by: ArcDeDucati on January 18, 2010, 07:16:16 AM No the pc111 isn't a necessity. It will make even more of a difference though and allow for better tuning. You may want to consider the model for the old M1000ie and not the current after EPA fine model they sell now as it only allows for tuning above 5200rpm w/out the termi ecu so you can still continue to tune it if you ever have to go back to the stock ecu for any reason. But the termi ecu is all you need in my mind. Did it on my 800 and it just makes the bike run like it was meant to.
I did hear about right foot clearance issues on the s4r with termis though. I may be wrong, someone will chime in. Title: Re: Termi question? Post by: CCEMN1 on January 19, 2010, 11:44:30 AM Thanks for the PC III tip. I have one on my '04 Aprila Factory that was custom mapped by Eraldo Ferracci on his Dyno, and I couldn't believe the difference it made!
I'll try the Duc out with just the DP ECU and see how it runs though. I'm only a size 9.5, 44 Euro, so I'm not too worried about foot clearance. |
