QuoteThe fire melted signs, guardrails and center-of-the-street cat's eyes that help drivers navigate the twisty, graded terrain that has made it such a beloved destination for area motorcyclists.
Someone doesn't know what Bott's dots are...
I'm sure someone will come up with some coin to buy it from him if he decides to close permanently. Also, it says that he bought it for $45k and has spent $1mil on it. I'm curious how much he's made in the last 8 years. It can't have been in the red the entire 8 years. Any reasonable person would have dumped it long ago if it was.

I think you missed a zero. "He paid $545,000..."
Haha, thought $45k sounded wrong. The first 5 looked like the $ to me. :P
Thats really horrible!!
I was up there for the first time this past Sunday. Bacon Junkie, DucofWestwood, and myself were eating breakfast when our waitress came and told us the road was closed. I really enjoyed the place! It felt like we weren't in CA and everyone felt like family. It was only my first time, I can't imagine how the riders that have been going there for years feel.
I really hope the owner doesn't close the place, it will be a sad day for a lot of people :( :( :(
"Who really decides what happens up here is Caltrans, Angeles National Forest, California Highway Patrol, L.A. County sheriff," said Rundall, frustrated with the short notice for the latest closure. "It's one of the reasons why I don't think I want to reopen. I think it's better that the governmental agencies reopen their own restaurant."
