I have a 2007 S4RS. I'm putting a full Termi system on, but am having the damndest time getting the rear, or vertical cylinder head pipe off!
I have everything else off & disconnected, but it's looking like I might have to remove the Ohlins shock & linkage to get this head pipe off? I've already hung the rear from the garage ceiling, lifting the rear wheel off the ground & unloading the suspension, but it's still looking pretty impossible.
Anyone who's been there got any tips, short of firing up the torch?
Thanks guys!
I got in there with the app. sized wrench and turned it 1 degf. at a time and then reset the wrench. A giant pain in the balls, but it got the job done, with less work than you have already put in with trying to unload the suspension and all.
Just my $.02
I've got it completely unbolted! I guess I should have explained that? With all the nuts off, I still can't remove it off the studs! Seems like there's not enough clearance?

Your going in the wrong direction to get the pipe off. Have a friend push the bike down in the rear. the pipe nearly falls out by itself when you get the rear compressed enough.

No, she's trying to get the rear head pipe off! I think she's almost there!
